“I just have to share the fantastic experience we had tonight. My husband and I went to The Local around 6:30 pm (prime time without reservations lol). The only available seats were a high top table in the bar area. They asked us if that was ok and we said “sure”. Within a minute or so after being seated, it became apparent that our vision of a nice relaxing dinner would be impossible in that room. The Preakness was about to begin, and that bar was loud and hopping! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I love to see people enjoying themselves. It was a party, but just wasn’t our vibe tonight. We decided we would go elsewhere. We politely informed the hostess that we were going to leave because it was just a tad too noisy, but that we would definitely return again soon. We stressed that we were not mad, or upset. As we were walking to our car, a very nice gentleman followed us out and asked if we would consider returning if they could sit us elsewhere. We said “Of course!” We didn’t think there were any other available tables, but he said they would work something out for us. We told him we didn’t expect them to go out of their way for us and that we could wait. Within five minutes, we were seated at a lovely table in the dining room. We later learned the gentleman that helped us was none other than the owner/ executive chef Zack. We went on to have a delicious dinner with the most attentive and charming server. They demonstrated exemplary customer service, which sadly is lacking in many other establishments. We weren’t expecting any special treatment, but they certainly went above and beyond for us, and it was very much appreciated! When we were leaving, Zack happened to be outside, so he made sure to ask how our experience was. We told him it was amazing, and that his restaurant has been one of our favorites since it opened. We told him we would be back soon. Our experience there tonight is just one of many examples why this restaurant stands out, and why we will always highly recommend them! “After living in the area for 5 years we finally visited Pairings Bistro tonight.
We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and I’m so glad we chose Pairings to do so. The restaurant is quite beautiful , the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the food was amazing. Loved being able to chose between pre fixe 3 or 4 course meals and à la carte for dinner and of course the wine pairing option. With the many choices for lunch or dinner and seasonal menu this is sure to become one of our new go to restaurants. We could go numerous times a month and have something new and exciting each time. Thanks for the wonderful service and delicious food and wines.“

“This stand is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk up, the smell of perfectly seasoned beef sizzling over the coals hits you — and it only gets better from there. I ordered the classic pit beef sandwich, sliced to order and piled high on a fresh kaiser roll. The meat was tender, juicy, and had that perfect bark on the edges. I topped it with their house-made tiger sauce (a killer horseradish-mayo blend) and a little onion — simple, but absolutely packed with flavor. Service was quick, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their meat and the experience they’re giving customers. Sides were solid too — especially the hand-cut fries, which were crispy and golden. They are the closest to boardwalk fries that I have had on this side of town. Prices are very reasonable for the portion size and quality you're getting.I'll definitely be back!“

“don't know if it was the server or the kitchen but our food took forever and then my salad was incorrect. I asked for no tomatoes they gave me tomatoes but no cheese. asked for cookies and creme ice cream took half hour for Ice cream to come out when I told our server to cancel the ice cream cause I had to be out forest hill by 230 and it was already 130 ,(we had already been there 1 1/2 hours for 2 kids meals a sandwich and salad) then the ice cream came out incorrect so I canceled my ice cream order. it was early in the afternoon no line at the window and only 6 tables of guest all small groups.“

“Food: The food at J’Ville Grille is always delicious. No complaints there - at all!
Atmosphere: Friendly, but it gets SO loud when it is crowded, though... Uncomfortably loud.
Service, however, can be hit or miss. Today I brought my grandsons and daughter-in-law for lunch. We arrived around 12:20 pm and seated ourselves. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy, though there were a good number of patrons. It was clear the gentleman working was handling both the floor and the bar, and was clearly understaffed, yet doing his very best. I was as patient and gracious as possible given the situation.
He took our drink order right away, and we placed the order for the kids right then. Their food came out almost immediately. Unfortunately, our order wasn’t taken until around 12:55 pm, when a younger female employee walked by and I politely asked if she wouldn’t mind taking our order, which she did.
We both ordered the raspberry chicken wrap (delicious!). She asked if we wanted fries with that, and I replied, “Oh, it comes with a side?” She confirmed that it did and verbally stated the side options out loud, but did not mention that any of the options carried an upcharge. Based on that, I chose the onion rings (also delicious!), while my daughter chose sweet potato fries, which were delicious as well — and a MUCH more generous portion than the onion rings, sadly. Did I mention they are delicious? :)
Once we received our food and were finished eating... I had to flag down an older female employee to get our check. I was surprised to see we were charged $4 per side. When I explained the earlier interaction regarding our sides, her response was simply, “Well, it’s on the menu,” delivered with an unnecessary attitude & look on her face like I was to blame. An apology of any misunderstanding and an offer to remove the up-charge, which I would have politely declined, would have been more effective & appropriate considering the cost of 10 slices of onion and one sweet potato... Is that REALLY worth insulting me?
That response, unfortunately, affected the remainder of the experience. I am someone who always tips at least 20%, especially when staff are short-handed and doing their very best, but in this case the lack of courtesy and accountability resulted in a much smaller tip than I normally leave. Truthfully, she's lucky I left one, at all, due to her attitude!
The food is consistently excellent and keeps me coming back. I just hope service consistency — and communication — improves.“

“This was my husband and I's first time at McFauls. We came for a late lunch and chose to eat at the outside bar. The menu, food and prices were all amazing! Our bartender, Jake was very personable and friendly and gave perfect service!!! Delicious drinks! Everything was above and beyond. There were so many delicious choices on the menu, we can't wait to come back to try more! We had the buffalo chicken wonton special, the Italian stallion sub special and I got the blackened Mahi Mahi tacos all 10/10.“

“Best Greek food in Harford County! Started with the Avgolemono lemon-egg drop soup. Tangy with lots of lemon. Uses a chicken broth base. The simple feta plate was extensive with plump capers, lots of heavily marinated kalamata olives& chunks of fresh ripe tomato. Don't miss the entree: spinach+feta chicken. Large chicken breasts top & bottom sandwich a heavy layer of spinach & feta on a bed of orzo rice. Beautiful & a wonderful flavor. Included a varied & fresh Greek salad with superb Greek salad dressing. Finally, 2 deserts were split onto 2 plates for us: the heavy-syrup-filled Greek baklava, & a special lemon filo pastry of the day--very lemony. An excellent meal whether you're there for lunch or dinner. Wonderful service & a warm Greek welcome!“

“I was out running errands and instead of going for fast food or other popular restaurants, I went to this bar because they had corned beef and cabbage on St Patrick's day which was awesome so I tried their spaghetti and meat sauce. It took a while to get waited on, food was was good. The sides they listed on menu board were extra cost and do not come with your meal which I thought was odd. They didn't have any parmesan cheese for my meal which I missed having. They have plenty of tv's to watch the O's. Pool tables,shuffleboard, several beers on tap. I will go back because I try to support local bussinesses. I think I caught them on an off day thus the reason I gave 4 stars.“

“Our oven broke the week before Thanksgiving and we decided to try the Bob Evans Premium Farmhouse Feast since we couldn't cook our own turkey. We had the order delivered through a third party service and when it arrived, we were missing about $50.00 worth of extra side packages. I called Bob Evans at 6:00 pm on the night before Thanksgiving to see what could be done about it. A store associate put the manager, Aaron on the phone. He was so kind, understanding, and professional. He immediately took our address and DROVE OUR MISSING ITEMS TO US himself that night without hesitation. I don't think anyone could ask for better customer service than that. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal and we were all pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was. I never would have considered ordering Thanksgiving dinner from a restaurant if we hadn't lost our oven, but everything was so good, and it created so much extra time to enjoy our family instead of cooking all day, we're already planning to order the same from Bob Evans next year. I sincerely hope this review persuades others to patronize this particular Bob Evans. Any manager who still provides that kind of customer service and quality food deserves the business.“
