“Amazing! The sushi tasting menu was exceptional and filling! Delicious and whimsical cocktails. Bar in the back, very hip and chic workout being pretentious. Wagyu beef skewers from the bar was one of the best things I’ve ever had. All the skewers were amazing and the fried chicken and other bar snacks are classic bar foods, but way elevated- can not wait for the rest of the space to open!“

“I chose Akeno Sushi to celebrate my bachelorette weekend, and I couldn’t have made a better choice! It’s my absolute favorite restaurant in DC, and this experience just confirmed why it’s one of my top spots. From start to finish, the staff was incredibly warm, accommodating, and genuinely thrilled to help us celebrate. Nadia, in particular, was a joy to work with and supported me every step of the way in planning. The food was phenomenal, with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The drinks were equally impressive, featuring thoughtful details like fresh flowers that added a special touch to the celebration. The ambiance was perfect, with lovely decorations that made the night feel even more festive. “When I say moving to this area there are not a lot of fast food spots I like to eat in! This one here though I must say is one I will! The atmosphere for lunch was very nice and tranquil! No overly loud music just a nice little vibe!! It was clean and the service was fast! The gentlemen that help me was nice and pleasant! I got the lunch special and it was more than enough food!!! I do recommend just off cleanliness and customer service!!! So overall clean, good customer service, and great deal for your buck!!$$$“

“First time coming here and wow! The broth tastes very authentic and really enjoyed the sushi taco. The seaweed was crispy and wrapped nicely with the food that was inside. They also have udon as an option for noodles but you’ll have to pay extra, not by much though. The atmosphere is also very lovely!“

“There is always someone cleaning the tables and the environment is SO clean and comfortable. Especially the service too, they are so nice and patient with customers. AND the FOOD, it is so DELICIOUS, the portion is really good, they also give out extra sauces without charging extra 😋😋“
“The pork shoulder, eggplant and harissa sweet potato fries were all fantastic-knocked out of the park. Great seasoning on all. My girlfriend doesn't usually like sweet potato fries and would have probably liked a second order. Really nice quiet ambience and great service.“

“Wow! It was my first, and definitely not my last, Ramen dinner. This place is unassuming, and fast-food-looking. But after that, the servers were helpful. The choices were overwhelming, and took some Google searches to understand. But the second I ordered from the app the delicious food was at my table. The dumplings (Gyoza) were a hit- soft, and tasty. My son had the Salmon Ongiri, a crazy combination of our parent's spam, salmon, an egg between seaweed/rice outside. He raved. Somehow, separately, be both ordered a tankotsu pork broth ramen named Aka Oni Karaka. If you like the umami satisfying taste, this is it. (I took some of the chili spice out and added it a little at a time.) This place is worth the visit.“

My only complaint is that when my glucose level dropped very low, I asked for a cup so I could get some ice and drink something to raise my sugar. Unfortunately, I never received the cup. As someone living with diabetes, this was not only disappointing but also concerning, since timely support in those moments is very important. I truly hope this can be improved for the safety and care of future guests.”“

“After a nature walk at Watkins Park, decided to stop here for a quick dinner pick up. The prices and quantity were fabulous. Welcoming and quick service. Generous amounts of salmon and shrimp in/on my sushi so it was a great value. Unfortunately, the rice was pretty bland. As a sushi connoisseur, I keep furikake and rice vinegar on hand. The Cherry Blossom was decent.
Recommend they pitch the soy sauce because it was tasteless. ?
But once again, my cubbard came to the rescue with some kikkoman. I will try the hibachi next time.“

“GREAT value— 50% off sushi after 7pm (from $10.5 to $5.25)!!! The tuna and salmon avocado rolls are delish and $10.5 or 50% off before closing (if there are any left).
The stickers are SUPER CUTE and $1 each!
They also offer great drinks (craft yuzu soda, topo chico, boba tea etc.)

“This really cute little Japanese shop was a great experience. On the simple side, but sushi was delicious and my friends enjoyed their food as well (one got chicken soup, and one got chicken teriyaki noodles). The workers were also very welcoming and nice, especially when they learned it was our first time coming to eat there. Reasonable priced, will be back again :)“

“I watched a co-worker having what I referred to as "a food fantasy". They recommended this particular location for its service and food. My waze directed me to the location which is adjacent to the JCPENNEY parking lot in a strip with 2 other businesses.I arrived midday and was welcomed by a pleasant woman near the door. Within 5-10 minutes my meal was prepared which was a combo of teriyaki chicken and shrimp with veggies, noodles, green onions, sesame seeds and extra sauce.The staff was very pleasant and appeared to work well together as a team. The portions were generous and I would definitely eat there again. After I got home I too had "a food fantasy". My vegetables were perfectly cooked, not hard or overcooked. The meats were tender, fresh and flavorable.I have since eaten at two other locations and have come back to this one for a new combo. This time I added steak and the next time I will add salmon which came highly recommended by many people.I would definitely recommend this location, the service and the food options.
Parking: In front of the business are several parking spaces. The overflow lot of JCPENNEY is available as well.“
