I’ve been to this cafe a couple of times and had great food and drinks both times. Most recently I went for Saturday brunch with a friend. I should have expected it, but the line was very long. That said, the girl at the counter was working her tail off not only talking orders but also making all of the beverages for each order (including seasonal lattes). Everyone in the kitchen seemed to be working non stop, so I give them kudos for such a delicious meal.

I got The Ian (toast with smoked salmon and poached eggs) and my friend got the OG breakfast bowl. Both were delicious and we cleaned our plates. We also both got oat milk PSL’s which were flavorful and yummy.

We sat upstairs, which was a bright and had plenty of extra seating despite the downstairs being pretty packed. We sat and talked for a while, and someone came around to ask how the meal was and take our dishes, which was nice. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful.

I didn’t order any baked goods, but I did notice they have a variety of Greek sweets as well as even some vegan baked goods. They all looked incredible, and I’ll be trying something next time.“

“Great spot with great people. Their draft beer selection is good for the area and they keep a nice, well-balanced variety on tap (I think 14 usually on tap). Don't find a draft you like? They also have a good variety of craft/domestic beers in their fridge. Not huge liquor people, so can't speak too much to cocktails...other than the margarita from Carley. That is excellent if you like refreshing and fresh margaritas! We are not always appetizer people, but every time we come, we must get the perogies. As someone who spent 5 years of my adult life in Pittsburgh, these are a nice sense of nostalgia to my Pitt days. Always piping hot and the perfectly cooked onions take it over the top. We have tried many of the sandwiches and entrees in our multiple visits and have yet to be disappointed. Husband's favorite is the honey siracha chicken bowl and my favorite is the quesadilla or grilled cheese or any special item. The hometown, local bar vibes are awesome and we'd come back to have a drink at the bar for that, but the consistently delicious (and hot) food brings us back and made me write a review for the first time (I think ever). “We love Carmen's Ice, even more than Rita's. Last weekend on Jaden Day, we arrived at 8:40 pm and joined the long line with our out of town guest. We reached our turn at 9:03 and were reprimanded because they closed at 9:00. I finally mentioned that we were in line at 8:30, and she continued to rattle on and on.

Repeatedly the staff told customers, "we don't have that because we truned our oven off", even before 9:00. Poor customer service, which is unusual.

However, after dinner the next day, our guest wanted to return to get another grape with ice cream. She said the grape was the best she'd ever had. We made sure we avoided the bewitching closing time.“

“On A Roll is truly a hidden gem inside a large office building. The receptionist at the front kindly pointed me back toward the cafe. The setting is open and pleasant with both regular tables and clusters of comfortable chairs. The freshly made breakfast wrap was just what I needed. A side of corn nuggets (like mini fritters) were nice and crispy. Fresh coffee and a brownie were a good way to finish. Staff are friendly and parking is plentiful. A great start to my day.“

“This was such a great surprise, we came to Romas Pizza after looking for a local pizza place, we read the reviews but we weren't expecting what we tried that night. The place was almost empty, around 6, on Wednesday. We decided to order a 14" veggie pizza. It was tasty, warm, thin, a little crunchy (the edges) but just enough to give a great support and good shape. I was surprised, it wasn't oily, and the ingredients tasted like fresh. Overall, I would say this place is a hidden gem. I saw/read this place recently got a new management, well I cannot say it's better than before as this was our first time trying this place, but I can say, it was a nice experience, and definitely we are coming back.“

The guacamole: made to order with fresh tomatoes and cilantro - delicious. The mahi mahi tacos featured perfectly grilled filets with purple Cabbage and pineapple. The spinach and corn enchiladas were the best I've ever had with enchilada sauce worthy of licking the spoon.
