“Even though the weather was cloudy and rainy on this late September day, our group received a warm welcome and we were served professionally and with a smile. The food is personally cooked by the owner, who also came out to greet us. The entire meal was delicious, but the conch chowder was one of the best I've ever had and a perfect choice on a rainy afternoon overlooking a lovely harbor. I highly recommend this hidden gem!“

I have to say that is the best salmon, or meal for that matter, that I've ever had. The food is always great, but that was over the top. I hope they keep that on the menu permanently.“

Not over bearing but there to see what we needed or how things were food wise. She alone would be our reason for coming back. But the food was absolutely incredible. From the hush puppies, wings, crab cakes and blackened chicken, everything was cooked to perfection and tasted incredible. Not normally dessert eaters, Hannah sold us on two of your deserts! The apple cobbler and tiramisu cheesecake! Again, both were flawless. Please share this with your BOH staff as I know they are often overlooked and of course we sing our praises to Hannah! “Food is great, decent parking, clean inside.

Service is hit or miss. It can be absolutely terrible or the best server in Maryland. If it’s not my table I notice it on other tables. Really depends on the server you get. Whether that’s being served and no utensils, no follow up from the servers just to refill drinks, or even bringing a to go box. Either it’s the constant turnaround of new hires or it’s a management issue directing people’s time correctly, who knows. It’s one of the few breakfast places in the local area and the food is always hot.“

“My favorite thing of the night was our waitress she was perfect! Ashley did a great job at taking care of us and making sure our orders came out correctly. She was nice and always checking in on us. The chef, Val, cooked an incredible meal for me and my wife. It's the best steak I've had in the county in a while. It made me feel like I was at home. All of my food tasted so good and the atmosphere was perfect. The lighting was great and the music wasn't super loud. My wife and I definitely found our favorite steak house now. “Management is friendly, responsive and quick. All the staff is very nice and always checking in to see if we're good. Crabs were good. Crabcakes, fried shrimp and steam shrimp we have had also. Absolutely recommend this place.“

“Olde Town Pub We have always loved The Pub, so since we were getting married down the street, we decided we wanted to have our rehearsal dinner here. The staff gave us the entire outside area on the left. We were catered to, taken care of, and fed with amazing food. The wings are always delicious, the drinks are consistently rotating to try new beers, and the staff is always kind and helpful. You can’t go wrong going here for any reason!“

“We came for supper tonight, it was fantastic. We had the crab pizza, the shark bites, the zucchini fries, a shrimp basket and fried chicken and we tried the the shark attack cocktails, it was all delicious and made all the better by our amazing server Katie. We will be back soon“

“My wife and I were traveling our last few days on the great loop when we were contacted by Solomon’s yacht club to spend a few nights at their facility. What a wonderful group of folks, from the time we got there to the time we left we felt like part of the group. I even give you two free drink passes when you arrive for their very nice pub bar. “The Ironwood is the restaurant/pub attached to the Breton Bay Country Club golf course. I'd call it a pub in the sense that it's more of the family and friend meeting place than a country club restaurant. We've been down there for years as they host the community Christmas tree lighting where Santa visits to throw the switch and visit with all of the neighborhood kids. Food is standard pub fare with some more deli style sandwiches and service is perfect. If the Ironwood comes back as an option when you search restaurants, don't ignore it. You'll love, especially in the warmer months, the chance to eat outside with a view of the golfers wasting all of their good swings on the driving range.“

“This was our 1st visit & 1st time hearing of this place; we're out of towners & were visiting our daughter (an SMCM student) who chose this restaurant. The smells emanating from their kitchen to the parking lot were so delicious & enticing, who wouldn't wait for a seat? After a short 10 min for a table & not long after being seated, the server got our drink orders. My only issue w/ the server was that she kept running off before we were finished ordering or could even ask a question, she was nowhere to be seen except on the few occasions she came to check on us, yet we repeatedly had to ask for drink refills. When you see empty glasses on the table-why not ask if they'd like a refill? I guess it frees you up to not be running for drinks & saves them $$, but when you're spending your hard earned $$ in there, you don't wanna leave thirsty. The food arrived fairly quickly & was hot. My daughter got the meatloaf & I got a cheeseburger; they had to be an entire lb. each, no exaggerating; but the other portion sizes were enough to sate the avg appetite, and no leftovers. But everyone enjoyed the food, we had cheeseburger & meatloaf to take home. The prices were pretty avg for this type of restaurant. I'd definitely go back again.?

Parking: The lot is kinda small & on the weekend parking can be tricky @ dinner time. May have to wait for someone to leave or park in a different, further lot.“

“We don't typically wander out on Sunday mornings but found our way to IHOP on a whim. It was busy as the southern maryland woke up and church goers started to arrive but the serving staff handled it admirably. I'm sure that there's some statistical analysis that went into the size of the "personal coffeepot" you get when you order but I find a pot of coffee that holds enough for one and a half cups plain odd. Staff was on the ball retrieving sweetener and cream. Food was great. Not surprising. It always is. Keep in mind, if you arrive between 9 and 10AM, you're beating the after church rush.“

“Food was good, but the server I had was inattentive. She just gave me my food and said here you go and walked away. I had hoped she would come back so I could get ketchup. I had to ask another server to get it for me. Since I had a burger with a lot of sauce on it I needed napkins to wipe my hands. Once again no sign of my server. I asked another server walking by if she could get me some napkins. She brought me cocktail napkins. Pretty much useless when trying to wipe sauce off your hands! My server finally showed when I was almost finished eating up to ask me if I wanted anything or the bill. A friend of mine said thyey had poor service there as well. Train your servers and may I will come back one day.“
