“Amazing place for some authentic Halal Chinese cuisine! We tried Hakka lomein spicy, shrimp fried rice and both were delicious! The service was amazing and owners r very friendly and accommodating.

First time we went there for lunch dine in, the owner gave us free desi chai on the house and second time, the owner gave us drinks on the house.

We're hooked to this place and my wifey and I plan to eat here at least once I week!“

“At first we were a little surprised to be eating in a Days Inn -- and Al-Madani is unassuming atmospherically. However, the food was flavorful and delicious (aloo palak, lamb tikka kabobs, garlic naan), and the staff were wonderfully kind and caring. I feel like this is a hidden gem and hope many more people find them and that they get lots of business!“

I tried a chicken plate, wings and the pistachio chocolate and really I will go again and again. The staff were so friendly always smiling and so helpful.

“The food here is amazing - I usually get chicken and lamb kabobs. The homemade bread they make with the kabobs is so Butterly and soft. I'm not a fan of yogurt salads or chickpea rice, so I just got a plain salad and white rice. The food can be somewhat pricey, but it's great comfort food, especially when it starts to get cooler outside.“

“I usually order the Tuesday chicken curry special which is really good. I decided to try the Wednesday special Chicken Jalfarazi . It was very delicious. The chicken was very flavorful and the sauce. The rice is always cooked perfect. “I went by to the location in PG plaza Mall in Hyattsville when I first entered the establishment I waited a second since there was one person that was serving another customer, I was than greeted and asked what I would like. I ordered a lamb bowl and a chicken shawarma, paid for l my order then went home. When I had my bowl it was just like I ordered but when I saw the dismay of my fiancés face something appeared to be wrong. I looked at the wrap it appeared to be prepared sloppy , falling apart and runny from juices of the ingredients. He said he didn’t want it and I returned to the place to try to get a refund. To make the story short the manger of the store wasn’t of any help but staff did suggest me getting another sandwich. I reluctantly agreed despite my fiancé not wanting a sandwich because of presentation. The person who made my sandwich spoke in her native tounge with another staff and was nonchalant about the situation but Christain was eager to make things right.“

“Wow! This place really surprised me. Was looking for a great lunch and it did not disappoint. I kiked it so much I ordered a plate to-go before I even left the parking lot.

The lamb, goat, and rice were all cooked to perfection. Omar, the gentleman who took my order, was gracious and kind as I asked questions about the menu. I wished they had more veggies in the menu, but regardless - if I lived in the area, this spot would definitely be on my list for tasty takeout!“

“My girlfriend and I had a wonderful take out experience. The pepperoni pizza had a crispy crust, zesty sauce, and good ratio of cheese & pepperoni. The cheesesteak was exactly what I requested. Excellent amount of cheese, mayo, in a fresh toasted roll. The fries were golden but needed to be just a wee bit more crispy. Nonetheless, still great! Overall, a delightful meal that we look forward to enjoying again.“

“My husband and myself stopped in last night, 6/6/2024 after stopping at the dispensary because the smell coming from crimson coward smelt absolutely amazing and delicious. We both got the crimson sandwich and I got the mac and cheese as well and omg it was all absolutely mouthwatering and delicious! We got our daughter a kids meal to bring home to her since she was at her friends and she even loved it, even the crimson sauce which we didn't think she'd like. We will definitely be back! Told my husband next time I'm getting the burrito and im gonna add the mac and cheese to it and roll it back up to eat cause I guarantee it would be beyond amazing!“

“Update Dec 2024: 2/5. This location has gone very downhill since new management. The gentleman at the cash register has an extreme attitude and will literally throw things at your bag when you ask for them.. It's almost like ordering is an inconvenience and they don't want your business. Sad to say but this location isn't what it was before.

Went to Naz's Halal today for their grand opening. Free lunch from 12-2 and the line was ridiculously long! The staff got off to a rough start, especially with enforcing social distancing but they pulled it off-- hot fresh food that beats Halal Guys!

Update 8/28:
Naz's halal has been open for over a week now and they've got really steady business.Walk in, place your order, and you'll have a fresh hot platter of meat, rice, and salad in less than 5 minutes. I've tried the chicken and lamb -- both are decent. The chicken is super flavorful, especially compared to the likes of Halal Guys. However, I almost always have a couple pieces of cartilage in my chicken, enough to ruin the meal for me. The rice is good, but wish it had more aromatic flavors as any good rice base should. The lettuce is usually crisp and fresh. The sauces that go with the platters are great too. The green sauce packs in the flavor, the red sauce is hot but not overbearing, and the white sauce is surprisingly light (unlike Halal Guys' heavy, calorie-packed version).

COVID-19: The restaurant does an abysmal job with COVID precautions. On opening day MoCo investigators were writing up warnings due to the lack of social distancing enforcement and the fact that the restaurant owner's family was walking in and out of the restaurant without masks. A week later and the restaurant has 6ft distancing stickers on the ground but they don't enforce it and tables are not 6ft apart. Some employees in the kitchen can be seen not properly wearing masks or gloves.

The value proposition is there, with platters running around 8 bucks. Naz's Halal is a great alternative to Halal Guys but the restaurant has some work to do before it's my go-to.“
