“Amazing place for some authentic Halal Chinese cuisine! We tried Hakka lomein spicy, shrimp fried rice and both were delicious! The service was amazing and owners r very friendly and accommodating.

First time we went there for lunch dine in, the owner gave us free desi chai on the house and second time, the owner gave us drinks on the house.

We're hooked to this place and my wifey and I plan to eat here at least once I week!“

“At first we were a little surprised to be eating in a Days Inn -- and Al-Madani is unassuming atmospherically. However, the food was flavorful and delicious (aloo palak, lamb tikka kabobs, garlic naan), and the staff were wonderfully kind and caring. I feel like this is a hidden gem and hope many more people find them and that they get lots of business!“

“Me and my friend both went there yesterday and I already knew that the food was going to be fire, because you can never go wrong with a local mom and pop type of restaurant. But even then, the food was better than I expected. The owners were very nice and you could tell that they are passionate about what they do and they don’t skip steps. I tried a chicken plate, wings and the pistachio chocolate and really I will go again and again. The staff were so friendly always smiling and so helpful.

“I usually order the Tuesday chicken curry special which is really good. I decided to try the Wednesday special Chicken Jalfarazi . It was very delicious. The chicken was very flavorful and the sauce. The rice is always cooked perfect. I was inquiring about the spice level and The Gentleman that took my order was very nice to allow me to sample before purchasing.“

Dining in is also great; the restaurant is always sparkling clean. “Granted I haven't been to their restaurant locations, their pop-up location that features their food truck in Forestville Plaza is where my mom was blessed to bring some of their food home for the family to try. Quick story, one weekend I was driving by with her in my vehicle and suddenly we smelled a delicious aroma as well as saw smoke coming from the grill. She noted the place in her mind this weekend she was able to venture there. She relayed that they had a good amount of customers ordering food but the personnel was so patient, kind, and helpful. She brought home some grilled chicken, lamb, jollof rice, macaroni and cheese, and green beans. Majority of the meat and jollof rice was in one container, but altogether enough to feed a family of three people with huge appetites. Everything was delicious, but my favorite was their grilled chicken! It paired nicely with their mustard sauces, especially the hot mustard sauce! They also have The most unique and delicious joloff rice I've ever tasted in my life! The taste of Senegal cannot be compared! I've tried other West African food, but Senegalese food stands out like no other! Originally, Ivorian food was my favorite, but now I can add Senegalese food to my new list of favorite West African food! You have to try it - you won't regret it! I look forward to going to one of their restaurant locations!“

“Upper crust is a go to place for takeout orders. Their pizzas are tasty and there’s a good selection of types of pizza size of pizza and crust. The service is friendly. We’ve been going to this place for years and have never been disappointed. Check it out.“

“After traveling from Texas and being tired and hungry we found this place on Google. The overall experience was absolutely amazing. The owner was wonderful and very helpful, he went out of his way to help us with the menu.

Our food was so full of flavor and authentic. Our taste buds were dancing with joy. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy our food with high expectations and not be disappointed. With young kids who can be picky, they loved their food and asked to good back again.

The food was packaged wonderfully once we return to our hotel the food and everything was in place and fresh. This is a virtual kitchen so there is no seating area but your food is prepared for take away and it was not all over the place. They really take their time to make sure your food is prepared and package well for your enjoyment.

Kid-friendliness: Our kids were very hungry and tired after a long travel day and the owner gave them a some chicken over rice while we waited for our food. He really extended kindness to them and we greatly appreciate it.“

“My husband and myself stopped in last night, 6/6/2024 after stopping at the dispensary because the smell coming from crimson coward smelt absolutely amazing and delicious. We both got the crimson sandwich and I got the mac and cheese as well and omg it was all absolutely mouthwatering and delicious! We got our daughter a kids meal to bring home to her since she was at her friends and she even loved it, even the crimson sauce which we didn't think she'd like. We will definitely be back! Told my husband next time I'm getting the burrito and im gonna add the mac and cheese to it and roll it back up to eat cause I guarantee it would be beyond amazing!“

“Update Dec 2024: 2/5. This location has gone very downhill since new management. The gentleman at the cash register has an extreme attitude and will literally throw things at your bag when you ask for them.. It's almost like ordering is an inconvenience and they don't want your business. Sad to say but this location isn't what it was before.

Went to Naz's Halal today for their grand opening. Free lunch from 12-2 and the line was ridiculously long! The staff got off to a rough start, especially with enforcing social distancing but they pulled it off-- hot fresh food that beats Halal Guys!

Update 8/28:
Naz's halal has been open for over a week now and they've got really steady business.Walk in, place your order, and you'll have a fresh hot platter of meat, rice, and salad in less than 5 minutes. I've tried the chicken and lamb -- both are decent. The chicken is super flavorful, especially compared to the likes of Halal Guys. However, I almost always have a couple pieces of cartilage in my chicken, enough to ruin the meal for me. The rice is good, but wish it had more aromatic flavors as any good rice base should. The lettuce is usually crisp and fresh. The sauces that go with the platters are great too. The green sauce packs in the flavor, the red sauce is hot but not overbearing, and the white sauce is surprisingly light (unlike Halal Guys' heavy, calorie-packed version).

COVID-19: The restaurant does an abysmal job with COVID precautions. On opening day MoCo investigators were writing up warnings due to the lack of social distancing enforcement and the fact that the restaurant owner's family was walking in and out of the restaurant without masks. A week later and the restaurant has 6ft distancing stickers on the ground but they don't enforce it and tables are not 6ft apart. Some employees in the kitchen can be seen not properly wearing masks or gloves.

The value proposition is there, with platters running around 8 bucks. Naz's Halal is a great alternative to Halal Guys but the restaurant has some work to do before it's my go-to.“
