“I worked here for 10 years in the industrial Engineering department (Maintenance). Compared to other companies in the industry the salary is kind of low, but for anyone looking to start a career in this field it’s probably the best option there is. They will accept anyone who is willing to work and learn and they will train you. Most people spend a few years learning the trade and then move on to make more money. Myself included. I don’t understand why ownership would allow their best guys to leave that way rather than structuring something to compensate them for all their experience and skill, but that’s just how it is there. This is not to say you can’t make a decent living there because you can, but just not what could be made elsewhere. The high pace makes for a great learning environment. It’s extremely hot there, but most places are. That place will always be like a second home to me. I loved working there. If they could match my salary I would go back. That will never happen though for reason I’ve explained here already. They have extremely good benefits compared to anywhere else. Cheapest and great coverage. 401k is kind of low. Overall, best place for low experience people and a great place to work, but not somewhere to expect $100k a year or more. I always send people to them for jobs still and I’ve been gone for a couple years now. It’s just a great place to work.“

“I was a bit thrown off by how empty the store looks, but they have quality food and the owner is super friendly and helpful. I bought some Arab pantry items, spices, olives, hummus, frozen falafel. The olive oil is insanely good and very reasonably priced. I’ve always wanted to try preserved lemons so I picked them up there. There’s much more that I want to try (different pickles, halawa) that I’ll come back for. Check it out!“

“All their food tastes as good as it looks. I did takeout for our whole family and we got everything from tacos and burritos to the chicken soup and the tilapia platter. Everybody was happy with their meal and it was all fresh ingredients, made to order, hot and good. The down side was the wait - they were overrun with phone orders and could not give me a proper estimate. They told me it would be 30 minutes but it took over an hour. Would have been better to just set that expectation in advance - frankly, the excellent quality of the food was worth the wait!

“Just found this place did not know it took over the old Subway subs location. So glad I found it. They have a lot of different desserts unfortunately everything's in Spanish and they only speak Spanish but there is one girl there that speaks English and as long as you can point at something you can buy it they don't have as much as the traditional bakeries but they do have quite a lot and you got to give them credit for opening up during coronavirus time. They were very friendly and the place is very clean. They also offer birthday cakes made to order so this would be a great addition to the neighborhood.“

“Princess Cakes Artistry made my daughter's wedding cake. Wedding was May 28, 2023. The cake was 3 tiers, different flavors. beautifully decorated just the way we asked her. It was absolutely delicious, super moist. I will never order a cake from anywhere else. Pricing is very reasonable. Can not say enough wonderful things about this bakery. Thank you so much“

“I miss when they used to do that monopoly thing where you would buy foods and fill out this paper monopoly bored for prizes. It was so much fun, I remember dozens of glue sticks being used dry pasting the food labels onto the paper bored with my family. It was placed in the middle of our dining room table like a bowl of fruit, and me and my little brother would beg my grandma every time she went to the store to get the “monopoly food”. She always did, even though it costed more than the regular groceries that were the same exact thing. We never won anything, no free vacations or Nintendo DS’s, but it still brightened my day every single time I glued a piece of paper on that damn board. I think we won in that way.

When we realized it had gone a long time, I went back to the counter and asked. They looked sheepishly as they realize they forgot them in the oven and they were even crunchier. I have been to Emma‘s before, I’ve been to other tea room, I have had scones in Europe, I have made scones myself, but these were strange… we figured that these had been baked in an air fryer because the texture was so strange. So the scones were big let down, especially since we had to pay separately for the clotted cream and the jam that was an almost another $12 just for that. I will never have scones here again.“
