We seriously love this place.

Plaza Mexico has become one of those go-to spots for us in North Beach. Whether it’s a random weeknight when we don’t feel like cooking or a weekend dinner after walking by the water, it just always hits.

The food is consistently good. The tacos are packed with flavor, the fajitas come out sizzling and smell amazing, and the portions are generous without feeling over the top. It’s comforting, reliable, and exactly what you want when you’re craving Mexican food. And the margaritas? They’re strong in the best way and actually taste fresh.

What really keeps us coming back, though, is the vibe. It feels relaxed and welcoming, not pretentious, not rushed. The staff is friendly and makes you feel comfortable, like they’re genuinely happy you’re there.

It’s one of those local spots that just feels easy. Good food, good drinks, good people. We’re really glad it’s in North Beach.“

“I go to this location a lot because I work in the area, and i have to say, the employees are always super friendly! From experience, working in food service is a challenging job (putting it mildly) and they are always polite and it feels genuine. Life is a hard and i just always appreciate the brief positive interactions i have at this location. Are they perfect? Definitely not, and it's not realistic yo expect that.
