“Beautiful restaurant! Great introduction to Vera by our wonderful waiter Kevin. We learned about the similarities between Lebanese and Mexican cultures and how that would be shown in the dishes and drinks that we ordered. Kevin walked us through the menu and gave us suggestions to give us the best possible experience. Standout items for me were the branzino (perfectly cooked!) and the batata harra.“

“Off the charts place with off the charts staff. I am a bit of a Mexican food snob and have a discerning palette when it comes to "real" Mexican food. This place is the gold standard for proper Jaliscano fare. The mole is *to die* for. The reviews were not kidding around. The carne asada, which is great everywhere, is just that much better here. What hit a real home run was the birria. To say you can eat it with a spoon doesn't do it justice. In short, true Mexican food that doesn't try to earn brownie points with hotness. In fact, nothing here is all that spicy... spiced, but not spicy. If I had to say something bad, maybe I'd say I wished everything was a smidgen less expensive. The place is priced towards the ceiling of its echelon.

And a special shoutout to the staff, which delivered my best dining experience in a very, very long time. Emily was incredible and what all managers in DC should aspire to be.“
