Now on to Tawney... there are not enough positive words in the English language to describe this woman! She is positive, up beat, responsive, accommodating and down right fun to plan a wedding with. She knows when to step in and provide guidance and expertise and was always 100% focused on making sure my fiancé and I were getting exactly what we wanted to make our day feel special. The process was completely stress-free and Tawney worked flawlessly with all of the other vendors. I want to plan another party just so that I can still chat with Tawney on a regular basis! What is so odd to me, is that it wasn't anything one would typically guess; it was the mundane act of biting into a small, perfectly round yellow-orange cherry tomato. The beautiful color. The plumpness. Oh, the bursting flavor! This isn't to say that our wedding was boring and uneventful. It was quite the opposite. It was the best wedding I've ever been to, and there were many that said the same that weren't my wife or I. Later, I would learn that tomato was hand picked from his mother's garden. This isn't wedding food. This isn't catering, as one would typically think of it. This is a 5 star chef with hand selected ingredients and team coming to serve a meal fit for a king and queen, and their esteemed guests. I've never had better catering at any event. They are of course, easy to work with as well. They only do one wedding at a time, so they are never spread to thin. Buddy is highly responsive, and was never unavailable when we called him. Everything went off without a hitch, and no detail was out of place. As a cog in a greater machine of our wedding, they never squeaked, never needed greasing, repair, or replacement. You're a fool if you choose any other caterer.“

Other than the food, let’s get into the service. I originally came for the first time a few weeks ago and was met with a warm smile and welcome from both the cashier and boss. Absolutely do NOT park in the nearby parking lot next to the dollar general store no matter how tempting that may be when your hungry & looking forward to a bite to eat.
The spinach pie was delicious even though we arrived late in the afternoon looking for a quick lunch. The hospitality of Sylva & the staff was efficient, warm and engaging.
Fortunately the fact we were visiting from out of town & had unknowingly parked in the predatory towing lot came up in conversation. Three older women in central Baltimore without their vehicle could have been disastrous. But Sylva and her husband quickly acted, assisting in locating my car, giving me a ride to the tow yard before it closed for the day & entertaining my mother & sister while I was gone.
These folks not only provide delicious food & a variety of beverages. In our conversations I learned they are active in their community working for positive good.
I hope the upcoming expansion to Little Italy this winter goes well & many more satisfied patrons enjoy their food & hospitality whether eating in, picking up pastries to go or using their catering services.

“The chorizo breakfast burritos are my absolute favorite thing. If I happen to see the truck come by I will go grab one regardless of if I have already had breakfast earlier. Pete is a great guy and very personable. They also take credit cards, which comes in handy as I don’t always have cash on me.“

“We attended a wedding here. The venue it's self is lovely. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The reason I gave 4 stars is because the food was not very good. They served shrimp and crab balls during cocktail time which were terrible. The crab balls were too soft and mushy. The shrimp had an over powering taste of onion and garlic. There were several older people attending the wedding and there were only a hand full of chairs and 2 tables in the room where cocktails were served. At the sit down dinner we were served fish and chicken. The chicken was very dry. The fish was ok.“

In 6 years I've seen Atwater's with a great track record for hiring and training members of its team. But I'd like to credit two in particular today.
