“This was my husband and I's first time at McFauls. We came for a late lunch and chose to eat at the outside bar. The menu, food and prices were all amazing! Our bartender, Jake was very personable and friendly and gave perfect service!!! Delicious drinks! Everything was above and beyond. There were so many delicious choices on the menu, we can't wait to come back to try more! We had the buffalo chicken wonton special, the Italian stallion sub special and I got the blackened Mahi Mahi tacos all 10/10.“

“I love this place because of the great menu. I am lactose intolerant but eat meat. There are few places that allow you to customize items to cater both of things (generally, if places have this many alternative milk and cheeses, they are vegan - which can be great to be fair. Many places have no alternative milk for coffee). I only go during off hours though, their busy hours are too intense for me (but that’s unavoidable because they are so popular).

I have taken a star off service for the manager and owner, because they took away required tipping (this was implemented during covid) and then told me that since ppl complained about it, this was “more democratic” . It was a really stupid excuse that was worded to appeal to my (assumed) politics. I KNOW your staff isn’t getting paid enough, this decision is cruel. Red Emma’s can afford to include required tips with orders, why can’t you?“

“I cannot say enough good things about our wedding cake! It was absolutely delicious—so many guests came up to me saying it was the best cake they’ve ever had. People were genuinely shocked when they found out it was vegan! Not only did it taste amazing, but it was also stunning—exactly what I envisioned. Working with Sarah was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. She really listened to what I wanted and brought it to life beautifully. I’m so happy we chose her for such a special part of our day!“

“I've been here several times with friends, and every experience has been great! Not only is the customer service fantastic (very attentive, willing to check in on you, knowledgeable staff, etc), they have a nice variety of liquor and wines that are easy to find in the shop based on region. Additionally, they sell limes and lemons at the register which if you've ever had a few friends over for drinks, you tend to prioritize the alcohol and forget the limes/lemons. It's always a duh moment for me but because they have them right at the register, it's easy to remember. What I think I like most about The Wine Source is how honest staff are about their thoughts on different wines. If they don't like it, they'll tell you and have enough knowledge to even recommend something based on your tastes. Lot parking can be a little scarce sometimes but that's really out of their control and usually street parking is easy to find in the area. In short, would highly recommend! My friend (who's the wine guy for sure) loves it here and says it's one of the best wine spots in Baltimore to him. P.S. They also sell some food in the shop which I haven't tried yet but I'm sure it's good!“

“Rusty Scupper was amazing. The goold was delicious but what really set them apart was how they went the extra mile for my parents anniversary dinner. I got my parents a gift card and made reservations, in the reservation saying it wasy parents anniversary celebration, could they give them a quiet table. They did that and so very much more. My mom can't stop talking about how incredible they were, how special she felt, how incredible the food was and how she had 3 wait staff, one in training but she had never felt so special in her life. Her excitement and joy makes me smile and I want everyone to know that Rusty Scupper could have set them in a nice table and said Happy Anniversary, that would have been great service but what they did was make an unforgettable memory for my parents. “Our table was not ready though our server motioned us to sit down while an extra table was added. No apologies, just: sit down, like we were inconveniencing her! Her attitude was approaching on rude. Orders were taken without comment, just looks. Soups were spilled onto saucers,no apologies. Coffee was served twice without spoons, containers were brought while people were still eating, same with bill. Everything was rushed, without a smile or occasional: can I get you anything or is everything ok? And why as a fine restaurant are you serving salad dressing in cheap plastic containers???“

“Of all of the Atwaters in MD this one is my favorite. It has so much charm and it is quaint. It is great for solo or group breakfast or lunch. I really love that they change their beverages with the season. They also offer local jams/preserves, pastries, kombucha and kimchi. It is easy to drift away here with a latte and book for hours.“

“My wife and I decided at the last minute to go out on a Saturday evening and we picked Marie Louise Bistro for dinner. We sat outside and had a genuinely wonderful meal! While you often see the same staff there for years, our server this time was young and new to the industry. Despite that, you could tell she had received training from the other staff, and she did a fantastic job. A very good sign! She had another waiter show her how to open and pour the wine, but aside from that we’d have barely known she was new to the job. As for the food, it was excellent. I’d give 9 or 10 out of 10 for everything and my wife enjoyed her meal too. I had a 3-course that included a surf and turf special, and my wife had duck confit. It’s incredibly reasonably priced for the quality of food IMO. A gem of a restaurant! If any of you reading this have never been then I’d definitely recommend a visit!“

“I went to visit family and needed a place nearby that wasn't too expensive and chose the Embassy Suites. I've actually been to this place before but it's been easily 15-20 years since my last visit. The thing about Embassy Suites generally is that they're mostly the same - especially of the properties from the 80s era. Big, open central space and the rooms encircle it. The property is from that era and there are some things that show this in 2023 - like the old and slow elevators, but they've done a good job modernizing the place overall. Like my room. They gave me room 731 which is near the elevators closest to the lobby. Nice. The view overlooks an office park next door (there's not much to see in Hunt Valley). Imagine an 80s era room but modernized with marble counters and nicer fixtures with wifi, usb chargers and nice curtains and you've got 731. It was very pleasant and very comfortable. Since its a suite there's an outer room with seating and a kitchenette. I made use of the large screen tv to watch some movies and generally chill. Since it is an 80s-era bathroom, it's small. But they have modernized and it's perfectly fine. Shower was good with lots of pressure and everything worked. There is an indoor pool, but I did not use it. The breakfast is surprisingly good. Lots to choose from and the hot prepared food is pretty good also. No complaints. Staff was great. Welcoming, friendly, informative. Really, there's not much more I could ask for when on the road. I enjoyed my stay and would return again.“

“This place made my whole day better. Brooke the barista was awesome and kind, the vibe of the place was chill and retro, the bathroom was super cleans, and THE FOOD! I got the breakfast sandwich with sausage and bacon on chiabatta and I cannot speak highly enough of the preparation. The meat is super high quality and each half of the sandwich has its own real egg, its own sausage patty and three pieces of bacon. The bread was crispy and delicious. It was worth every single penny. The warm words of encouragement from Brooke for my upcoming cancer treatment was definitely an added perk! Seven and a half stars out of five, will be back soon.“
