“We get carryout dinner here at least 1 night a week. We love all of the Greek dishes, crabcakes, soups, salads and desserts. The turkey and hot beef platters are also very good. (Ask for gravy on the side.) I have never had anything I didn't not like.“

“We went to dinner here this evening with a large party of 10. While we enjoyed our food and our server was great our overall experience was not 🤦🏼‍♀️. I don’t know if we just had an evening of bad luck or what. First after sitting there a bit a VERY large picture fell off of the wall directly onto me and my 18 month old daughter, then there was a gnat in our drink, and my dad walked outside and a piece of shingle fell off and hit him in the head. Like, I seriously couldn’t make this up. 🤣 like I said food was good and so was our waiter but I feel like a little more could have been done after the picture situation. A cupcake and free drink didn’t really cut it. Had it just fallen on me I wouldn’t have been so upset but the fact that it fell on my daughter made my soul leave my body. We will give it another shot at some point and chock tonight up to the full moon or something just be careful where you sit your kiddos.“

“Went to Jake’s Grill, I got a half rack of ribs, chicken sandwich, coleslaw and macaroni and cheese.
The food is OUTSTANDING! This was my first visit and I was really impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful 😊👍🏽. The atmosphere is great because the staff is super friendly! Definitely going back!!!

I asked for no tomatoes they gave me tomatoes but no cheese. asked for cookies and creme ice cream took half hour for Ice cream to come out when I told our server to cancel the ice cream cause I had to be out forest hill by 230 and it was already 130 ,(we had already been there 1 1/2 hours for 2 kids meals a sandwich and salad) then the ice cream came out incorrect so I canceled my ice cream order. it was early in the afternoon no line at the window and only 6 tables of guest all small groups.“

“Real food the way Baltimoreans like it. Regular white sandwich bread for soft crabs Fried Liver and onions with bacon also. Rare Prime Rib. “August 24. Five of us came to enjoy lunch together. Very disappointed. My ultimate grilled cheese was not ‘ultimate’. Very little cheese, no tomato, and crab cake/meat was sub par. Another lady received the wrong lunch and then had to send back her lunch when the correct order was brought. Another lady had to send back her hot fudge sundae. We were told the hot fudge was made last week! It would have been nice if a manager had come to our table. Have been coming to Manor Tavern for decades and have never been so disappointed. Am coming again in September. Hope things are a bit better!“

“This was my husband and I's first time at McFauls. We came for a late lunch and chose to eat at the outside bar. The menu, food and prices were all amazing! Our bartender, Jake was very personable and friendly and gave perfect service!!! Delicious drinks! Everything was above and beyond. There were so many delicious choices on the menu, we can't wait to come back to try more! We had the buffalo chicken wonton special, the Italian stallion sub special and I got the blackened Mahi Mahi tacos all 10/10.“

“Took the family to J'Ville Grille around 1430 on a Saturday. You have to seat yourself and a waitress will promptly take your order. Ordered a double burger with pepper jack, fries, lettuce and raw onion. Food was ready in about 15-20 minutes. The restaurant was packed with people and a little bit hard to hear but the food was very good. Highly recommend.“

“This is a typical bar with with bar food. No Different than TGI Friday, except a little better. The service is "OK" the servers are untrained as to waiting on tables. The first thing that should be brought to tables is eating utensils and napkins, the water. The tables dont have slat & pepper available for their patrons, you need to ask for it. The menus are not placed in front of customers upside down. (And I even brought it to her attention and she still didn’t correct it) ?? All in all the server was trying very hard to be attentive. The food was not terrible, it's typical bar food, and dont expect anything more. The Boom Boom shrimp are pre breaded frozen shrimp with the tails on and then fried and covered in some type of sauce. My daughter liked the boneless chicken wings with hot sauce. The onion rings I thought were good. I ordered the toasted Italian sub and wasn't offered the option to get tater tots -vs- fries. I didn’t realize this till later and the fries were soggy. I think this is an "OK" spot for someone looking for a bar atmosphere and same for the food & service.“

The food was delicious, our waitress Bree was great, the general manager, Kirk, was one of my uncles best friends, thank you for your kindness! I never met the owner but I can tell he is an excellent person. Thank you to all of my uncles friends that cared so much for him & for Hightopps wonderful service and kindness as well. I stopped in today for a late lunch and early dinner. The new setup threw me off at first since I'm used to ordering at the counter and then finding my own seat. It wasn't a big deal, I just wasn't expecting the change!

Before long, I spotted a familiar face. Yamil has been here since the grand opening, or at least it feels that way! His customer service is always efficient, friendly, genuine, and welcoming.

He recommended the skirt steak, and it was a great recommendation. It seems the recipe has returned to what it was before COVID, which was a pleasant surprise. My meal arrived hot and absolutely delicious.

As always, it's a pleasure dining here. I prefer this location over the Columbia, MD location any day of the week! I'll definitely be back and hope to see more familiar faces.

“My husband and I had a late breakfast at the Timonium location on December 27, 2024. Upon arrival, at almost 11:30 AM, the hostess named Samantha, was seating another group of people. We watched Samantha clean tables, set place settings, before returning and seating us. We soon took note that this very pleasant hostess/greeter was taking on several jobs: we watched her methodically bus tables, return to awaiting guests in line and proceed to repeat the same process...while also being the cashier for departing guests who were paying their bill. As more and more people arrived, we watched Samantha's professionalism never waiver. Our waitress named Kelly was also pleasant. She quickly took our order and soon returned with drinks. Not long later, another kitchen helper returned with our plates of food. I commented on how well everyone was working and gave a special appreciation to Samantha. We observed Samantha rearrange tables to accommodate groups of people while maintaining her warm smile that revealed her love for her job and customers! The food was delicious, and the service was above standard. Employees at this location really work well together but Kudos to Ms. Samantha who worked above and beyond expectations!!!“

“This was my first time visiting at The Real Thing and it did not disappoint. I tried the chicken cheesesteak and it was delicious. It was full of meat and toppings. The hot sauce was a nice addition but if you don’t like your food too spicy, get it on the side. My daughter had the regular cheesesteak and it was equally good. We will definitely be back!!“

“We were staying at the Sheraton, so this was very convenient for us. The first night we were there we went to the bar for a couple drinks, the bartender was very friendly and she made a nice strong drink. On night number two, we went back to the bar, the drinks were great again, so we decided to have a little late night food. The wings were great, nice and crispy and well seasoned, the crab stuffed mushrooms were small and lacked flavor. We had the same bartender, who again was extremely fun to talk to. All in all this is a good spot if you are traveling and staying in the area.“
