“There are 2 locations and they hardly resemble each other beyond the menu. The waterfront location has excellent service and atmosphere and delicious crab cakes. The other location had mediocre service and felt like sitting in an outdated mall. The beer is drinkable but not exciting. It's just meh ?.“

“Solid selection! Date night was a hit...reservations recommended/required on a Friday night. We truly enjoyed the blackened Snapper, SOMD egg-rolls, and fried oysters. Beth was very attentive in taking care of us. Great crowd (hence the reservations) kept the place lively and entertaining. Worth the drive to experience this classic SOMD bar & grill. Enjoy! OBTW....don't overlook the adjacent grocery for THE BEST stuffed ham and chicken salad!“

“The crab dip was great. The food was good. However, our waiter was the absolute greatest! Have not had service like that in .... forever! His customer service and waiter skills are top notch, and if other waiters/ waitresses I have had were half as good as he was, all restaurants would have good service. Well done. I truly believe my food could have sucked and I would not have cared. Oh, he did forget my salad apologized but didn't even bother me. I was enjoying my time and my crab dip. “This was our 1st visit & 1st time hearing of this place; we're out of towners & were visiting our daughter (an SMCM student) who chose this restaurant. The smells emanating from their kitchen to the parking lot were so delicious & enticing, who wouldn't wait for a seat? After a short 10 min for a table & not long after being seated, the server got our drink orders. My only issue w/ the server was that she kept running off before we were finished ordering or could even ask a question, she was nowhere to be seen except on the few occasions she came to check on us, yet we repeatedly had to ask for drink refills. When you see empty glasses on the table-why not ask if they'd like a refill? I guess it frees you up to not be running for drinks & saves them $$, but when you're spending your hard earned $$ in there, you don't wanna leave thirsty. The food arrived fairly quickly & was hot. My daughter got the meatloaf & I got a cheeseburger; they had to be an entire lb. each, no exaggerating; but the other portion sizes were enough to sate the avg appetite, and no leftovers. But everyone enjoyed the food, we had cheeseburger & meatloaf to take home. The prices were pretty avg for this type of restaurant. I'd definitely go back again.?Parking: The lot is kinda small & on the weekend parking can be tricky @ dinner time. May have to wait for someone to leave or park in a different, further lot.“

“Happened by here after work and gave it a try as I had commercials on the radio focused on the live music. Got a great local IPA from a local brewery across the Potomac and an ice cold glass just the right size. Lots of house made specials from an owner who is very hands on. We shared an order of the Chesapeake pay fries smothered in she crab soup and parm. They were absolutely delish and while a surprising combination paired well together. Even though it’s an hour from home, I’m already planning my next trip. Reduced hours off season so check before you go.“

“The best of all is their view. CPT sits on a pier over the Potomac river with incredible views and sunsets (access by boat too with tie ups). CPT is a great bar that will periodically have live bands. The wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the Northern Neck area of Virginia. They do have a staffing shortages like many restaurants so service can be slow like Key West. Just relax and enjoy the view, and order two beers at a time so you are not sitting empty handed for a long time. The meals are great.“
