Vibes are off.Is this a fancy upscale restaurant where you experience a quiet atmosphere, enjoy a duck confit quesadilla (it was ok) and have to make a reservation (they turned away 3 parties when we were sitting at the bar and there were open table.. clearly a mismanaged house or kitchen.OR is this a place to pop in for a pint and a burger after playing tennis or kicking a soccer ball around the park next door?The restaurant is not sure. Neither were we.We guessed it was a pop in place. I wish they had just said “no kids at the bar” or something instead of letting me and my husband and our two kids sit down.No crayons or stickers or anything for kids, though there were Elmo’s around the place and it was decorated with some cool vintage toys.At one point the manager or someone told *me* that my kids (2 and 4) need to “stay in their seats”And that my toddler curiously walking up to another kid at another table was “not appropriate” (there was another toddler also walking around… )Oh and he told me this lol when my *husband* was walking around the restaurant with my kids. “This is great for a quick lunch or dinner. There is good variety and great flavors. We were a party of 5 and all ordered different variations. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. This is elevated grilled cheese for adults but lets the kids order something simple. Win win.“
“I showed up last Sunday to watch the Commanders play the Giants and had a great time at this bar. I got the Sunday football special, which let me choose between 2 food options and a drink. I wound up getting the old bay wings, hot mess tots, and a surf side tea, all of which was pretty good, especially getting all that for $14! It’s definitely a great vibe for football Sunday, and I’m thinking about coming here more often during the week as well!“
“This is a great spot with a warm vibe. It looks small in entering, but there's additional seating in the back. The service is excellent too. The food came out in less than 20 minutes, and the portions are a good size. Just enough to fill you, but not so much you have leftovers. I had the salmon burger and fries, both were cooked perfectly - the fries were crisp and the salmon was juicy. Both were too lightly seasoned for me but still enjoyable. I appreciated that neither were salty. I'll be back to try other options.Parking: Street parking may require you to walk a few blocks.“

“Love this restaurant in Silver Spring. 'Consistently great food and good service. Whenever I'm in town, I make time to eat dinner there. You need a reservation for Saturday and Friday evenings. Parking is easy since it is near one of the Wayne Garage entrances. My family likes everything on the menu, but I especially like the tenderloin steak with spinach. I rarely get beef, but it is consistently a moist and tender cut. Cocktails are great, and the food is gourmet quality.Parking: Park in Wayne Street parking garage. There is an exit to Ellsworth, which takes you to an exit that is very near the restaurant.“

“I love Remington's. The service is always great. The food is amazing... especially their pizza! I got the steak-n-cheese pizza this time. The sweet potato fries and the dipping sauce were on point. I took a picture of the fries and crushed the pizza (so there was no picture). Everyone is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is inviting.Parking: There are spaces all around the building. Sometimes, it can get a little tight, so you may have to park on the street.“

The food is exactly what the doctor ordered after a long days work. Karaoke Tuesdays has completely brought me out of my shell. It’s definitely become a hidden gem for the Brightwood community. “The place appears a bit off the beaten path when you get to it, but fortunately there is parking and it’s easy to find. Was welcomed by the bartender who served as the waiter, cashier, host and generally Jack of all trades. I even thought he was going to be making our meal. Fortunately the chef was busy in the back and clearly knew the craft.There are not enough good things to say about the meal which started off with an appetizer of authentic Kenyan sausages, which are the best in the world, hands-down. This was then followed by goat curry (mbuzi) with kale (sukuma wiki) and ugali (maizemal) which tasted as if it had been made straight from a kitchen back in Nairobi. They even had fresh pili pili (green hot pepper) on the side for that extra kick.Will definitely visit again and wash the meal down with the frothy waters of Belgium. The seating was comfortable and the televisions were not too loud. They even had a pool table for those so inclined to mix games with a good meal.Definitely top five in my book & is highly recommended. Will have to try something else from the menu next time.“

“There is nothing about this place that doesn’t merit five stars. The service from the bar - Chris, Olga, Jake, and everyone else- are friendly and welcoming. The drink selection is solid and full of favorites. And the food - good lord, the food is outstanding. The best cheese curds, top notch legit red beans and rice - there’s not an off note on the whole menu. Top it off with the fact that I believe that all of their sauces and dressings are house made - like I said, five stars all around!“

“A literal hidden gem - Tucked away beside the Pisco and Nazca restaurant and downstairs beneath the neighboring hotel (easy to miss). Reasonably priced drinks for the area, karaoke, and and an owner who was involved in helping out behind the bar, changing kegs, in the kitchen, and conversational with guest. If you need a break from the pretentiousness of DC this is the spot.“
“This was a nice spot that me and my boyfriend found just walking down the street looking for somewhere to go.We did hookah which was good and we spilt the shrimp tacos and jerk shrimp and crab pasta which was REALLY good. we wanted to try the salmon egg rolls but unfortunately they were out.It wasn't crowded and had a nice little vibe to it esp since we're a little older than the crowd that was there.Would def go again and would DEFINITELY get the pasta again tho I would also like to try other dishes as well.If you're looking for a nice, little spot, pls give them a try.“

“Stopped in here to try a rice bowl (with peri peri chicken) for lunch and will definitely be back. It was very good. Appreciated that they freshly cooked my chicken. Only downside is that I wish this area were more pleasant to walk/bike to. (Also, I appreciate that they gave me silverware, but I try to minimize my plastic trash so would prefer that they ask me, but I get that other customers may feel differently.)“

“The BBQ is not good. They have smokers but I don't think they really putting in the work on them. The sausages are undercooked and bland. I've made better pulled pork at the house but also the menu says chopped pork and it's actually pulled pork. Which again has been better at my house.The staff is cool though. And the location is great if the food gets better this place would be the best around.“
