“Great Smith Island cakes and Wonderful customer service. We were looking for a cake to celebrate my Father's 85th birthday. We had come over from Annapolis on a Watermark day cruise. The Skipjacks staff went above and beyond to help us with a whole Smith Island cake, a cake knife, forks for 20 people, and even birthday candles. My Father was surprised and everyone loved the cake- there was none left (unfortunately :-) Thanks for making the celebration special. PS I will try to bring back your knife soon :-)“

“Rise Up always has great coffee and the employees are always so friendly! I've never had a bad experience. They operate as drive-thru only with two lanes usually open. There can sometimes be a bit of a wait during busy times, but it's worth it.“

“As one of the first employees of the Blue Crab under Brian and Hellen, I can say that the vibes are immaculate and you can feel their flair throughout the entire building. The coffee choice is the best on the Eastern Shore (over Rise Up) and they don’t try to be fancy with their menu. It’s fairly straightforward and everything is delicious (I’ve tasted it all). I may have moved away and be saddened by the couple stepping away but I know the folks at the bagery are just as passionate. I will continue to stop by whenever I can and support not only an amazing business but also the people in this community. I recommend you try it out whenever you’re in St. Michaels. He always has my stuff ready and correct - even if I order late on my app, it's still ready, hot and he's holding it at the window as I pull up.
