“Why was this the BEST coffee I've ever had?! It seemed like a typical unsuspecting coffee shop, but it was clean, organized, had a lot of seating, cute merch, and a lot of food and drink options. After ordering, they hand you a laminated card from a deck and that's instead of an order number that they'll call out. Love it. The coffee though, was so good! Smooth, creamy, and not bitter at all - perfectly balanced. I wish it were closer to me because I'd go here all the time. I recommend the toasted marshmallow latte with oatmilk and the caramel frappe with oatmilk 🙌🙏“

The pumpkin muffins were perfectly spiced and moist, and the specialty chai was absolutely amazing, cozy and full of flavor. 🍂☕ The service made the experience even better, thank you, Skye, for being so kind and attentive! “This place gets super busy but totally worth the wait. The line moves relatively quickly, and the wait for food can be upwards of 30 mins during the rush. The parking lot is small, pull around the back for more parking. Service is prompt and friendly and they have seasonal specialty lattes on a board to the left of the registers, definitely don't miss them! I ordered a honey lavender latte that was perfectly balanced and so tasty. I also ordered a breakfast biscuit sandwich. The biscuit was buttery and delicious and there was a bit too much cheese for me, but that might be your kind of thing. There's both outdoor and indoor seating and turnover is quick! You can order online ahead of time and head to the back of the store for pick up if you're in a rush.“

“I’d give it 6 stars if I could. Looks like a bookstore from the outside, but guess what?! Well. It kind of is a bookstore. Because it’s IN a bookstore. But that’s part of its charm. The coffee is great, obviously. And they have tea. Just don’t you dare ask for chamomile. Or if you’re feeling playful, you can always get some hot choccy. They’re always playing great music too. A fantastic atmosphere. I go in every single day with my laptop to do some work and I swear, I accomplish more in one hour than a college kid on Adderall cramming at 4am for an 8am final. The real absolute rockstar of the show, though, is Madison. I think she might actually be superhuman. Once I ordered something and she told me no, I don’t want that, and then made me something else. And you know what? She was absolutely right. It’s like she was able to take her hand and reach it into the deep, dark recesses of my soul and somehow know more about me and what I want than I’ve ever known about myself my whole life. I will never question her on anything again. If you’re in Annapolis for even just one day, this place is a must stop. Just don’t come when I’m there, I’m trying to get some work done.“

“Stopped by Rise Up Coffee located inside a marketplace, and it was a great experience. I ordered a traditional single macchiato—rich aroma, bold flavor, and perfectly made. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. If you can grab an outdoor seat, the view is a nice bonus. There’s also convenient street parking and public paid parking available nearby. Definitely a spot worth checking out!“

“This place is INCREDIBLE! All the bakery items are delicious! It’s always consistent! It should be studied how delicious the pastries are!!! They have the best almond croissants in Annapolis!! The atmosphere is like Nana’s kitchen. It’s intimate and welcoming!“

“We are early risers, so it’s great to have a spot that opens at 6:00 am! We were pleasantly surprised at how amazing the breakfast sandwich tasted. A bonus perk that it’s not overly expensive. I also got the iced peach matcha latte, which had a nice flavor.“

“I can’t say enough about John, the manager. I have seen many great managers and you can tell John is striving and desperate to be identified as just that. Though he has a long way to go, I think he will achieve this goal. Only a few things to work on. Making a drink order as requested and opening the store on time are a couple small ones that stand out to me. I enjoy stopping by to see his slow but gradual progress.“
