“With a recent infatuation of fresh made pasta and my love of cozy quaint restaurants, Love, Pomelo was a must try on my list.

I've walked by Love, Pomelo on numerous occasions and never knew that some of the most delicious pasta was being made. I made a reservation for one and took a seat at the bar for the evening. The ambiance invoked a comforting romance novel, dimly lit with soft antique touches.

Since I planned my visit on a Wednesday during happy hour, I was able to not only partake in happy hour, but also their $20 pasta specials. So, I started with a Spritz as my cocktail and some of their broccoli, which I never knew broccoli could be the main focus and taste so damn good. Perfectly seasoned, crisp, and full of garlic flavor. I'm still dreaming of this broccoli. I opted for a red sauce rigatoni pasta with guanciale, and this pasta literally made my soul dance. A little red pepper flakes on the side for heat and I was in heaven. I couldn't end the night without dessert, although I was stuffed. So, I settled on a small serving of Amaro & Gelato. The sweet Amaro liquor poured over two small scoops of real pistachio gelato was the perfect nightcap to a beautiful meal.

Between the fresh made pasta and broccoli, Love, Pomelo has stolen a piece of my heart, to which I cannot wait until my next visit to relive the experience.“

“The specials didn't have prices so I had to ask. I got a shrimp cheesteak and it said it came with tomatoes, onions, lettuce, mayo. I ordered it without tomatoes and onions but it didn't specify that it comes with banana peppers. They taste okay but I have a very sensitive stomach so I was unhappy about that. The fries it came with were excellent, nice and crispy on the outside, soft and delicious on the inside. My cheesteak was otherwise quite delicious, just be wary the specials aren't exactly clear about what comes on them. I dined in with my friend and also ordered something to go. The order taker didn't give me a receipt or tell me when the to go was ready, he just put it up on the counter like I was supposed to know. When I asked about it, he gave me the to go order so it wasn't really a problem just mildly annoying.“

“Wonderful, wonderful experience! Not only did we have a good experience on Thursday night with our basketball team, but when we called again on Friday they remembered us. Commented on how well behaved our school was. We ended up ordering 15 pizzas for Friday night, they gave us 20 bucks off and carried all 15 pizzas to the car for us. We will definitely be back! “I liked this place overall ..The meat was good . Lamb chops was perfect & well seasoned..Also the salmon was ok point ..juicy , well but not dried out .. The side dishes need some work ..A lot of work to be honest..I can respect a establishment that is growing & open to new ideas..it's so many dishes on the menu besides Italian..With that being said - mistakes & growth gone happen.WORK OK THE SIDE DISHES!!

“the owner needs to fire the cook just ordered a crab cake and when i took the onions off the crabcake is black shouldn't even have went out the door looking like this then tried to cover it up with tons of onions you can taste the burnt taste. I love sorrentos but this is the second time.definitely needs somebody who wants to work and not send out burnt up food“
