“Today we visited for the first time! Newbies to making our own Boba tea but also not super experienced in it in general. The owner was there and was so kind and walked us through the process. Offered samples of any tea we wanted, gave ideas for mixes based on general flavors we liked, and made suggestions we had not considered that turned out to make the drink so much better. He helped my 7 year old put hers together and let her do it. Made her feel special! He was overall such a nice guy and great to chat with. The place is super clean and welcoming and there are a ton of board games and several arcade type games to play. Such a great environment for the whole family. Everything was tasty and super affordable AND they offer a great military discount which was a fun bonus. I can see my family coming back many times for fun drinks and some quality game time together.“

“I accidentally placed an order for 2 cakes for pickup on the day after Christmas rather than my intended Christmas Eve morning pickup. Sweeter Side made sure I’d have them on time and made my cakes for pickup in the evening. Both are delicious and were enjoyed by everyone on Christmas. “Absolutely stunning and delicious macaroons! Beautifully presented with a perfect mix of colors and flavors. The shells were delicate with just the right crunch, and the fillings were smooth, fresh, and not overly sweet. They made a gorgeous centerpiece and tasted as good as they looked. Truly a special treat!“

I had a very unusual themed event this year and they were so flexible and creative in making my tooth funeral (thanks extraction/implant) themed cake a reality!! I won’t go anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and order! They also make custom cupcakes to match. Truly artists at work!“

“The bakery goods I bought were delicious. My complaint is the young woman spoke no English. I would suggest at least have the description of it in English also with prices so those of us who don’t speak Spanish can at least read what it is & cost.“

“I’d give it 6 stars if I could. Looks like a bookstore from the outside, but guess what?! Well. It kind of is a bookstore. Because it’s IN a bookstore. But that’s part of its charm. The coffee is great, obviously. And they have tea. Just don’t you dare ask for chamomile. Or if you’re feeling playful, you can always get some hot choccy. They’re always playing great music too. A fantastic atmosphere. I go in every single day with my laptop to do some work and I swear, I accomplish more in one hour than a college kid on Adderall cramming at 4am for an 8am final. The real absolute rockstar of the show, though, is Madison. I think she might actually be superhuman. Once I ordered something and she told me no, I don’t want that, and then made me something else. And you know what? She was absolutely right. It’s like she was able to take her hand and reach it into the deep, dark recesses of my soul and somehow know more about me and what I want than I’ve ever known about myself my whole life. I will never question her on anything again. If you’re in Annapolis for even just one day, this place is a must stop. Just don’t come when I’m there, I’m trying to get some work done.“

“I had to take a moment to share my incredible experience at Auntie Anne’s in the Annapolis Mall — all thanks to an amazing employee named Sedarus. I was honestly having a rough day. You know the kind of day where everything just feels off? But then I walked up to Auntie Anne’s, and Sedarus completely turned things around.

From the second I approached the counter, he greeted me with the kindest smile and a genuinely welcoming attitude. You could tell he truly enjoys what he does and cares about every customer that walks up. He didn’t just take my order — he made me feel seen. He talked to me with real warmth, asked how my day was going, and cracked a few light jokes that honestly lifted my mood in a way I really needed.

Not only that, but the way he was handling the rush of customers was beyond impressive. He was moving fast, staying organized, multitasking like a pro — all while keeping that same positive energy. You could tell other customers were enjoying his vibe too. He never once seemed overwhelmed or frustrated. He made it look effortless, even though I know it wasn’t.

My pretzel was hot, fresh, and absolutely perfect — but Sedarus was the real reason this visit stood out. In a world where good service is becoming rare, he went above and beyond. He made my day better with kindness, efficiency, and genuine care.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Sedarus is the kind of employee every business hopes to have. Thank you for reminding me how powerful a small act of kindness can be.“
