“The fish is really good here. We came here for Christmas and the food was all good. Unfortunately they didn’t have dim sum available. They told us it would take an hour to get the food out, so if you’re looking for fast Chinese food this probably isn’t the place.“

“Outstanding food - dim sum all day, made fresh to order. Each dish came out piping hot. The skin on the rice noodle rolls and shrimp dumplings were authentic and thin, topped with a delicious sweet soy sauce. The chive dumplings were enormous and flavorful. The char siu buns and char siu itself are also flavorful, moist, and top notch. I especially enjoyed the jelly desserts - so refreshing, light, and unique. Service was also fast and excellent - they were so attentive to our table. You also can make reservations here. Small parking lot was easy to use. There is no sign facing the road so it’s hard to find - they should add more obvious signage. I def want to come back!“

“I was excited to try this new dumpling spot since I heard it just opened. I tried to make a reservation ahead of time since it was the weekend, but there seemed to be an issue with their system and it wouldn’t go through. So I had to just show up and ended up waiting a long time to get seated.

However, once we got in, the food was actually really good and everything came out pretty quickly, which I appreciated. The reservation issue and the wait weren’t great, but the dumplings were tasty enough that I’d go back again.“

“Stopped by Double Lucky Star after a friend told me about it, and now I’m hooked. The roast duck is outta this world — crispy skin, tender meat, just the right amount of seasoning. Their BBQ pork’s got that perfect sweet-salty balance too.

What I really appreciate is how fresh everything tastes. You can tell it’s made right before pickup, none of that sitting-under-a-heat-lamp stuff. I usually grab a family combo after work — saves me cooking and the kitchen stays clean.

“The rainbow soup dumplings were quite good—especially the shrimp and zucchini flavor, which stood out to me. They have more of a fusion twist compared to traditional soup dumplings. As for the red oil wontons, they were just okay. The flavor wasn’t really my preference, particularly the taste of the vegetables. Will not recommend.“

“We had two meals and two types of dumplings plus a piece of mango cake.

The dumplings were awesome. Perfect dough texture and tons of flavor. We did chicken soup and crab with pork. Get the crab ones, they’re awesome.

The meals were worse than mall food. I won’t order the braised beef again. My friend says his pork over rice was ok. We both liked the mango cake.

It’s a standard food hall with a food court from a mall vibe. Reminded me of the 80s and 90s when we’d hang out at the mall. I’ll go back for the dumplings and pastries, and try the ramen next time.“

“This is the BEST Dim Sum place in the DMV area we visited this place every other Saturday. Family owned and operated great authentic Dim Sum experience tasteful and a variety of offerings We absolutely love this place we recently moved from the area and have not found yet a Dim Sum place. Looking forward to come back. This place gets a lot of traffic particularly on Dim Sum days Saturday and Sunday. Friendly personel all were amazing to us can recall Elvis he took care of us the first time we visited did for the three years we lived in the area and John if not mistaken he is the owner and his beautiful family ,wife and daughter all working together to provide a great dining experience to their customers. The staff was the same from first visit to our latest that says a lot about the management and happy employees take great care of the customers. “This is a decent spot if you’re desperately craving an Asian food fix or Cantonese dim sum. We went with the $38 buffet (Option A). The steamed dim sum like har gow was acceptable, the wonton soup was a bit bland, but the porridge was actually really good.

We also enjoyed the pork potstickers and the beef hor fun — those were definite highlights for us. Overall, we did enjoy the meal.

That said, it didn’t feel super value-for-money for the price. If we were to return, we’d probably go à la carte instead. Still, it’s a solid option when you really need that Asian / dim sum fix.“
