“This is the first time i’ve gone to Red Ribbon at this location and I wasn’t disappointed… the supervisor Ms Judy Anne was very nice, polite and friendly. There was a promo that if you buy a palabok family pack you have 3 choices to choose from; palabok with triple chocolate roll, palabok with 3 empanada and etc.. so I ordered palabok with cake roll but I prefer for a different flavor of cake roll, so I asked Judy if she can swap triple chocolate to mocha roll because it is my daughter’s birthday and her favorite is mocha roll… with no hesitation she gave me what I want only because it is my daughter’s bday but of course their promo will stick to triple chocolate roll no more exception ? .. but overall the place was very nice and clean and the staff are friendly and respectful to all of their customers … it’s worth the drive from a long distance just to go to this place.. hoping that the staff will remain friendly and welcoming to everyone who crave for some sweet treats especially if you miss your home country.. keep it up!! My best regards to you Ms Judy Anne! Hope to see you again ?“

“Visited the café today! Loved the delectable and creative menu, the warm service, and the beautiful, cozy interior. We enjoyed the inasal, tocino, and ube latte (complete with delicate latte art) courtesy of Sun and Stars Coffee. Our kid was thrilled she could enjoy an ube steamer, too-- and didn't want to stir her drink because she found the art (Hiraya's logo in this instance) so beautiful. If you want reimagined, creative, and elevated Filipino cuisine where the flavors simultaneously bring back sensory memories of the comfort food of your childhood, this is the place for you. Can't wait to return!“

“My partner and I walked in at 6:30 PM on a busy Friday night without a reservation (I didn’t realize they had started taking reservations!) The host said the only options were bar seating or outdoor seating under heat lamps. We didn’t really want either of those options, but understood that since we didn’t have a reservation, we could not be very choosy. The host then kept looking at his reservation app and offered us a very nice table as long as we could be finished by 8:30 PM. We said that two hours is plenty of time! He said he felt bad that there wasn’t room for us but we assured him this was perfect and we would definitely be finished by the time he needed the table back. He was so kind and accomodating. The rest of the staff was also excellent (as always!) and the food was outstanding. I have always loved Purple Patch and will certainly return soon. Thank you PP team for being awesome!“

“Came for happy hour and loved it! The happy hour burgers were so unique and a great deal at $12. The lumpia were nice and crispy, and the mango salad with shrimp paste had the perfect about of funkiness to it. The drinks are also appropriately strong and super yummy. Would definitely be back!“

“Went in today to have some breakfast and ordered the Tapsilog (tapa/garlic fried rice/egg), I also got a Turon (plantain/jackfruit wrapped in an egg roll wrapper and fried with brown sugar) with Ginger tea. The food came out at a reasonable time. The tapa is cooked the way I like it, on the dry side. It wasn't too salty or sweet and the seasoned vinegar gave it an extra layer of flavor. The garlic fried rice wasn't too oily. The turon has this amazing crunch even if it was room temp! Filo cafe also has other sweets that they have for sale and other specials. I will have to come back to try the other items on the menu.“

“Popped in here with friends to watch football and grab dinner. It's a narrow space under Tiki on 18th with TVs covering almost every wall. We were all pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was, since we were just expecting standard sports bar fare! We shared four items: lumpiang Shanghai, mumbo salmon lettuce rolls, spicy pork sisig, and the jojo pansit. Everything was incredible. I loved how crispy the lumpiang was and the mango chili dipping sauce was great. The sauce on the lettuce rolls was SO good. We wanted to get the beef pares but they were out, so hope to try that again in the future. I'm glad I didn't know it was associated with Tiki on 18th before because I would have missed out on some delicious food. I stopped going to Tiki on 18th because they are predatory with the 20% included gratuity, by only showing you a final total on the card reader and automatically prompting for additional 20% tip. All that to say, I'll make an exception for The Game because the waitress reminded us about the included 20% which I appreciated and the service was excellent.“

“I've dined here a couple of times, and each time, the food portions were generous and comforting; their lumpia is the biggest I've seen. This place is decorated with many objects reminiscent of the Philippines, and they provide friendly service. Last time, I bought some desserts to take home, and everyone loved Ube Cheese Pandesal out of everything I got.“
“Looking for an Asian restaurant close by our hotel (The Westin Washington DC) and we were pleasantly surprised to find a Filipino restaurant only 3 mins walking distance. We had shrimp palabok, lumpia Shanghai, and lechon kawali. Everything was delicious and at a good price! Mom says we don’t have to find Jollibee in the area, Pogiboy is so much better!“

“The take away: I would definitely come back here. The thorough review: A Filipino restaurant with a limited but respectable selection of main courses. After ordering two of the classics for dine in (i.e., bistek and chicken adobo), the cashier asked me just to pay after my dinner—I wasn’t sure if that was the norm or perhaps, she was simply busy helping another customer with another issue. I enjoyed the meal—no complaints. And apparently, they sell bulalo which I may have to try the next time I’m in the area. There is no shortage of parking outside which is a major plus.On the groceries front, I found the prices to be reasonable vs some places in MD that criminally overcharges.Overall, it was a pleasant eating and grocery shopping experience.“

“The first location to open up in Maryland, had a rough opening weekend back in the first year when it initially opened, but things definitely have improved since then. I got the following: The new Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Bacon and Cheese, Side of Jollibee Spaghetti, Yumburger With Cheese, Ube Pie Dessert Their chicken sandwiches are always a great way of taking the flavor from the Chickenjoy and putting it in a sandwich. Nice juicy and tender breast of chicken, nicely fried with their crispy exterior and savory seasonings, plus the addition of mayo and their amazing bun, it's delicious! Plus the addition of bacon and cheese in this item can only help make it better. The Yumburger with Cheese is a guilty pleasure of mine, I always love the flavors of the sauce and the softness of the bun + meat patty. Their meat patty isn't like other traditional fast food burgers, it's prepared in a different way and the meat is more tender and condensed, giving it a different texture. I just wish the solo Yumburger wasn't so pricey for how small of a sandwich it is. Lastly, the Ube Pie Dessert, as with all of their pies, was fantastic. Deliciously sweet ube filling, nice crispy and flakey pie crust, it's a great combination. Overall I love the flavors of Jollibee every time I come here, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but as it's a chain there isn't much that could be done about that. Service is friendly and efficient with the long lunch rushes, and the restaurant ambiance is always cute and appealing with their Jollibee mascot statues and posters around the establishment!“

“Except for limited parking space @Anchor , both Ligaya and Red Ribbon can serve the Wheaton and suburbs Filipinos and friends.“
