“Visited Filo Cafe for the first time. We had the Kamayan platter for 2 with lechon kawali, tocino, lumpia Shanghai, and pancit bihon. Paired with calamansi juice. “My experience at Kayu was lovely. Chef Paolo does an amazing job of sharing his culture through his food. The menu was very approachable and interesting. Each dish felt nostalgic somehow even though it isn’t my own culture. The service was attentive and our waitress was able to match me up with the perfect cocktail for my mood and it was beautiful.

The steak was a standout dish to me- the sourdough bread dipped in the sauce was perfect. All three desserts we tried were delicious.

“Delivery: Ordered the Tapa entree, and it was delicious but I was shocked by the portion size for $17. The food was delicious as hell, but I feel like there should’ve been more weight to the dish, especially because my Filipino friends are always very generous with their portions. I know times are tough but maybe something to consider. I’ll try eating here in person another day and see if the portions are the same. Four stars because of the portion size“

“First trip to this fast food location and I finally understand the hype. We got half spicy and not. The chicken was juicy but spicy. Don’t underestimate the little flags that say spicy on the chicken because the spice level is on point. The adobo rice was dangerously addictive, and the gravy deserves its own fan club. The spaghetti caught me off guard because it was so sweet and had hotdog pieces in it. It’s definitely unique as a fast food option and more on the fun, kid-friendly side than traditional pasta, but for sure if you have a toddler, he or she will enjoy eating it. The Palabok was different because it had a strong shrimp flavor. The guava, lychee, and pineapple drinks were all refreshing and not your typical fast food drink options. Ordering through the app was easy, and pickup was a breeze. Overall, delicious 😋“
