“250828 - By the time we reached Sparks, the muffins had begun to take effect; we were low on fuel, having come off the highway, aware wet were close to ‘Empty’ in unfamiliar country. Nervously looking for a gas station, ambling along our way back to Canada after a week in the capital. Some said we were brave to visit, we never minded, soaked it all in, we were just there to check on our American cousins, see how y’all were making out in a rather turbulent time. Loved the rolling countryside and gorgeous homes in the area - hmmm…a preserve of the ‘horsie set?’ we thought. Now, even lower on fuel, we caught the sign and stopped at TFS. We surveyed the place, quirky storefront and round the back which felt surprisingly, decidedly chill. Straightaway, we struck up a conversation with a friendly physical therapist, because we’re that kind of chatty. Had a spontaneous, lovely and wide-ranging chat including the whole family. A delicious milkshake, I think a cookie, and couple washroom breaks later, our new friend sent us on our way to the Exxon down the way and a nearby turnoff to get us back en route to the north land. Felt really good to meet a kind helpful soul along the way, the kind of people we wanted to show the kids, and we somehow knew we would certainly meet on our drive into NY, PA, MD, VA, DC. Now back in the land of the silver birch, home of Lord Stanley’s sport and the ‘double-double,’ I am just reading about your late friend Rosa and how much she’d touched you all and your beloved TFS :) Nice lil place. “I dined there for the first time tonight, and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is quaint, cozy, and perfectly decorated. The first two drinks that I got were absolutely amazing, as they were custom-made. We also tried a flight of tequila, which was also very delicious. We both got an entrée each, and got nachos and queso. It was all absolutely delicious. The waitress kept coming back to check on us and was very attentive. Thank you for a lovely evening. “I love Baja Fresh in general, and this place is A+. Employees are friendly, the place is clean, food is hot and excellent, so much better than other fast casual places that serve you Subway style. My only request is that somehow you bring back the Enchiladas Rojas trio especially around dinner time :-) Baja fresh is the only fast casual Mexican place that gives you enchies/burritos covered in sauce and they’re very good.“

“What a find! A friend and I were planning on going to another Mexican restaurant, but they were closed. We just happened to pass by this one and decided to take a chance, and we're so glad we did! The restaurant was bustling, but we had no problem finding a seat. The staff was friendly and helpful and the plates were huge, tasty and the prices were amazingly inexpensive. I would definitely recommend Taqueria La Mexicana for cheap and authentic Mexican food!“

“I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here! I got an order of chicken flautas and they came on a massive bed of lettuce, cotija cheese, spicy pickled veggies, and a quarter lime. Really well presented considering it was in a plastic container from a trailer! They were crispy and delicious. The churros are amazing, almost tasted like they were cream filled. The time before, I got a chorizo burrito and it was equally as delicious. The ladies cooking are friendly and quick. And you can fill up your gas tank, check your oil level, and clean your windows at the gas station while you wait. I'd add pictures, but my family inhaled the flautas before I could even unlock my phone.“

“Randomly driving through Timonium on our way back to PA we were looking for food. Fuentes showed with good reviews and we stopped. Now once a month (sometimes more) we drive an hour back to Timonium for amazing food. We’ve even brought family down here. The italian food is plentiful and tasty but the fish and shrimp tacos are our favorite. A lovely couple owns the place and they cook all the food and they’ve always been kind to us. We hope to come here for many more years.“

“Well, this is certainly an authentic Mexican restaurant. A broad array of Mexican dishes are represented. You've got central classics such as birria, northern delicacies such as burritos, and even a lot of Oaxacan dishes. I think the variety is just great and the dishes are all collections of diverse flavours arranged very nicely.

That being said, the taste is great, but not perfect. The restaurant is dirty, the management could use a bit more conscientiousness, and the parking situation is atrocious.

“You get a lot of bang for your buck here. I've tried all the pizza places in the area and it's the cheapest. They don't skimp on the ingredients.

I got salads and pizzas multiple times. The salads were magnificent. The vegetables were fresh and crisp and the grilled chicken was excellent.

I appreciate the pizza because it's wholesome. It's got kind of simple and homestyle ingredients and style, giving the feeling of almost going back and just scooping up meat and cheese with bread. However, the bread brings us back to reality. It has a unique sweet taste.

Someone who doesn't care much for natural-tasting restaurant food might not be too crazy about it, but I find it delicious, refreshing, and a good bargain.“

“This is the only Taco Bell out of the last 20 or so I've visited over the years that always gets the order right every time thru the drivethru. They are also pleasant and quick. Sidenote, great job on the landscaping. This franchise always has super nice landscaping and tons of flowers that they rotate all year. You know they take good care of everything else if they care this much about their landscaping!“

“One of the best sweet plantains I’ve had (Salvadoran style), and large portions for sides. The atmosphere is my favorite part. Very clean and homely with the walls littered in home plants and other bric-a-brac; like I’ve been invited over for dinner in their home. I would have given 5 stars if the chicken and yuca were a little less dry. With that said, I’ll be coming back!“
