“This spot was exactly what I was looking for, a quick carryout pizza option that wasn’t the typical chain store experience, and overall I was really satisfied with what I got.

I stopped in around 3 PM, right after what I’m assuming was their lunch rush, so it was nice and quiet inside. The staff was very personable, friendly, and attentive from the moment I walked in. They do offer pizza by the slice, but since I came after lunch, there weren’t many slice options left, so I decided to order a 12-inch Margherita pizza instead.

Now, I will say, for me personally, $20 for a small Margherita pizza felt a little pricey, but the quality definitely stood apart from chain pizza spots. It tasted like a real Italian-style pizza. The crust was honestly my favorite part: crispy, flavorful, not too thin, and not overly thick or doughy either. Just a really good balance.

You could tell the sauce and ingredients were fresh, and overall the pizza was very good. I personally would’ve liked a little more cheese, but that’s a minor critique.

Overall, really good experience, and I’d definitely come back to try more of their plated menu items.“

“My family and I are frequent diners at Il Basicilo, and it continues to be one of our favorite family owned restaurants. We love the freshness and authenticity of their food. On our recent visit, we ordered a vegetarian pizza, calamari, mozzarella, bruschetta, and veal spaghetti. Every dish was incredibly fresh and delicious. Our guests were so impressed that they plan to order from Il Basicilo for their daughter's upcoming birthday celebration. They have something for every palette!

“Randomly driving through Timonium on our way back to PA we were looking for food. Fuentes showed with good reviews and we stopped. Now once a month (sometimes more) we drive an hour back to Timonium for amazing food. We’ve even brought family down here. The italian food is plentiful and tasty but the fish and shrimp tacos are our favorite. A lovely couple owns the place and they cook all the food and they’ve always been kind to us. We hope to come here for many more years.“

“We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday at Sotto Sopra last night and had the best experience! we were met by name at the door! Given prosecco when we arrived at our table! Had a delicious 3 course meal. And then dessert with sparkler! The atmosphere was amazing - beautiful decor, clean, perfect acoustics so you could hear and talk, but also wonderful selection of music playing in the background. “Ordered off of their catering menu for my wife's birthday. I purchased the Margharita Seafood Special with shrimp, scallops and lump crabmeat in a rose' cream sauce and it was excellent! The homemade meatballs jad everybody raving and their sausage, onions and peppers in marinara sauce was also great. Thankfully we had some left overs that we are still enjoying. Lastly was their Greek salad, very fresh and loaded with feta cheese. I definitely recommend these folks for your next lunch or dinner or when you need an event catered. Call and ask for Saul and he and the staff there will take great care of you!!“

Our waiter Drew was spectacular—attentive without being overbearing. He was at the ready with each course in a timely manner, as well as refills on the drinks as needed. He also alerted us to a special deal whereby, if we ordered a take-home meal, we’d get $10 off. A great deal, especially since tomorrow is a holiday, and we don’t feel like cooking. His manner was affable in a most sincere way. That made the dinner even nicer.“

“I tried to leave a review and it won't post so I will try again. My family and I ate dinner inside on Friday night after seeing the trains. They were extremely busy but to our surprise the food didn't take very long and was just as good as always. Our server (also the manager I believe as she was helping the counter area, as well as getting change for the employees up there) is really why I wanted to write this review. Our son has special needs and wanted HER to pour his apple juice into his cup. Mind you the restaurant is packed and so was carry out, she poured his juice and kept coming around and filling it up a bit more for him throughout our meal. She was so busy but made us feel like the only customers there. She neatly boxed our pizza for us even though she was very busy and I told her she didn't have to do that for us. All in all was a great dinner, Amazing food and fantastic service. They do get very busy and you might wait a bit for a table but it is worth every second of the wait. You won't be disappointed. As far as carry out goes we were sitting right next to the carry out area and the line was across the mall and pizzas stacked on their oven. They were very busy but they seem to get through the line pretty fast so although you might have to wait a few mins to get to where you order the food is worth it. I would watch a man bring up bagged orders and then within a minute our server would check the bags hand certain ones to the people working carry out and yell a number I believe this was to get the people here already waiting their food right away. Seemed like they have a working system for this crazy time. So although the lines seem very long it wasn't bad at all. Our kids also loved the trains. Was the first year they are old enough to really enjoy them and enjoy them they did!“

“This place was awesome!!! Both Brianna and Sydney were superrrrrr kind even giving us freebies like extra sauces for our wing because our group of 8 was indecisive on which flavor we wanted. She also did all the calculations for how much each individual would have to pay since we essentially split the order this was super helpful preventing any arguments and miscalculations. They also gave us the best deals without us looking for it on the menu we also took a photo with one of the employees (Brianna) who was super patient and kind the food is also amazing both the wings and the pizza came out nice and hot with the wings crunchy and juice and the cheese on the pizza stringy which was amazing after playin mini golf across the street! GO CHECK IT OUT!“

“Ordered delivery a few weeks ago, although I have friends who regularly go here and rave about it. The steak and cheese sub is on point. It is enormous, overflowing with delicious steak and lots of toppings. There was so much steak, it was spilling out of the sub onto my plate! My friend wanted lasagna, and that's what I ordered. The delivery driver was there to pick up and deliver my order, but when she found out they didn't have lasagna, she was unable to fulfill it. This is the reason for the decrease in star rating. As soon as the order came in, the restaurant should have contacted me to offer an alternative choice. I ended up ordering baked ziti on the fly, knowing that my order would take longer to prepare.
The gluten-free pizza ordered by another friend came out perfectly done, and with the toppings she wanted.
Although I have not eaten at this location yet and I'm not familiar with the ambiance, I plan to visit here soon. I recommend visiting or getting carry-out. The steak sub is a keeper, and the baked ziti looked good, was substantial and heavy, and contained a lot of cheese.“
