“My husband and I met some friends for dinner here. We passed by multiple, but this was our first time in. It feels like an upscale sports bar when you walk in. The service was standard and the food was very good. I heard that the lamb was a dish people raved about, so I tasted it. It did not disappoint! The salmon bites were also delicious. We had a great time! I think just about anyone would enjoy themselves here. It's not too casual, but not pretentious.“

“This is a typical bar with with bar food. No Different than TGI Friday, except a little better. The service is "OK" the servers are untrained as to waiting on tables. The first thing that should be brought to tables is eating utensils and napkins, the water. The tables dont have slat & pepper available for their patrons, you need to ask for it. The menus are not placed in front of customers upside down. (And I even brought it to her attention and she still didn’t correct it) ?? All in all the server was trying very hard to be attentive. The food was not terrible, it's typical bar food, and dont expect anything more. The Boom Boom shrimp are pre breaded frozen shrimp with the tails on and then fried and covered in some type of sauce. My daughter liked the boneless chicken wings with hot sauce. The onion rings I thought were good. I ordered the toasted Italian sub and wasn't offered the option to get tater tots -vs- fries. I didn’t realize this till later and the fries were soggy. I think this is an "OK" spot for someone looking for a bar atmosphere and same for the food & service.“

“This was my first time visiting at The Real Thing and it did not disappoint. I tried the chicken cheesesteak and it was delicious. It was full of meat and toppings. The hot sauce was a nice addition but if you don’t like your food too spicy, get it on the side. My daughter had the regular cheesesteak and it was equally good. We will definitely be back!!“

“The only issue is they don’t have seating, u can only order the food then leave, but the place is small so it wouldn’t fit either way. The fries are delicious and tbh I’ve only had the lemon garlic or lemon pepper friend with crab. But the original comes with shrimp and crab. It’s soooo good especially with a side of their honey garlic sauce.“

They know the bar they know the food, and they are all particularly grand at recommending food to go with your chosen libation(s)! “Best food in Towson hands down! I drive Uber in the area and this is where I stop almost 2-4 times a week for the chicken cheesesteak. Tried a few other things on the menu and everything was great, but the chicken cheesesteak is just too good!! Great owners also, I don't even like a customer when I go, I feel like family.“

“Driving up to the area to visit a family member in the hospital and got stuck in crazy traffic and was super delayed, I was about to miss visiting hours. I sent in my order online once I got close and had a very slim window to actually bring it to them. I started to panic and got emotional that I wasn’t going to make it with their treat. You guys were supper busy but one of your team members noticed and reached out to me later to make sure I was ok. Luckily I was able to make it and bring a little joy with your food. This franchise has limited vegetarian
options and I find it a bit salty. The wait staff and kitchen staff have always provided adjustments without a hassle - sometimes there is a nominal charge for substitutions.

This day I tried the Tex Mex shrimp bowl. It was good. I wish they had dried the lettuce - there a bit of extra water. If you are looking to make this more healthy (less calories from carbs) ask for a half portion of rice. It's still very filling.“
