“Surprisingly good vegan food! They have a set menu, but it seems like they frequently run out of things that are on it, so it's not incredibly reliable. Portions also run a lot smaller than I expected. At first, I was put off by this, but after actually eating, I found I was much more satisfied than I was expecting, so only a watchout there. For a ward 8 resident and DC native, we take Sunday morning breakfast serious, and nobody wants to travel to PG, VA or cross the bridge for family breakfast. I have been to that IHOP at least 100 times, so I have seen the good and the bad times. I will say this, there is a noticeable difference in the customer care experience. From the attention to detail of the employees, the cleanliness of the restaurant (especially the bathroom), and the friendly staff, I was wholly impressed. “Wow....I was hungry waiting for someone to arrive at Union Station and decided to try Z Burger. Never had one so this was a first for me. The Staff was helpful and patient with my ordering. The selections and options were plentiful for a Fast Food operation...cheese steaks, hot dogs, turkey and plant based burgers. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger and the half/half Onion Rings and Fries. Boy-o-Boy. I was very pleasantly surprised. This wasn't Fast Food but a gourmet burger you.might get from a fancy restaurant. First, the burger was top quality beef pressed into action right in front of you. Cooked, it had the right amount of texture, grease and taste. Then the melted American Cheese tasted like REAL CHEESE. On top of the routine lettuce and tomato, I added jalapeño peppers and onions which were both generously chunky, tasty and aromatic. The fries and onion rings were hot and crispy, perfectly complimenting the delicious burger.
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS Z BURGER AND THEY SHOULD EXPECT A REPEAT CUSTOMER.“

“Solid, casual burger spot right on H. Had the Wagyu burger and fries and both were on point. Made to order so everything was fresh and delicious. The Wagyu is a $13 burger but you’re paying for the premium ingredient and the smash burger was cooked perfectly. Hit it up on a week night and it was chill and staff was super nice. Will definitely hit up again when craving a smash burger. This would also definitely work for a delivery order too.“

“Yes! I love the concept. I love how it’s a hand made patty and the burger was cooked perfectly. In addition, you have an option to add items to your burger if you do the build your burger option. You can also choose their preselected choices which look really good. I chose to add sautéed onions, bacon, and Italian sausage. I will say although the Italian sausage was good, I wouldn’t add it again; it didn’t hurt the burger overall. You choose your seasoning (I chose basic), sauce (house bbq), lettuce and tomato. I also ordered the seasoned fries (garlic parmesan). I was curious so I asked for the spicy ranch. It was pretty good.“

“We went to the restaurant down at the wharf….. To start, the hostess at the front was on her phone and not really paying any mind to the people walking in the door. Come to find out after that was the floor manager. Then we get sat and none of the workers talk about who is in charge of that section. We did. It get me is or silverware. The very nice bartender comes up, gets us some water and menus gets us started and finally the sever comes over to us. The server took our order and checked on us twice. When the food was brought to the table we still didn’t have silverware and had to ask the food runner. Our server had a a ten top when we arrived and she was checking on her the whole time not paying any mind to the other tables she has. It was to the point I had to go up to someone ask for water refill bc both our glasses were empty. We finish our meals that were very good and no one but the bartenders are on the floor. I see our sever walk over to the restroom, she comes out looks at us and sees that we are sitting doing nothing, then walks over to a new 10 top and disappears. It’s at thing point I now have to walk over to the bartender and get our check and they are the ones that cash us out. Thank you to the bartender that took care of us“

“Was visiting D.C and saw the good reviews and decided to go. Got the lucky bun burger and mambo nugs for happy hour. Great atmosphere in the restaurant and service was great. “Decided to try someplace new on this year's visit to Old Town. Food was very good. We enjoyed the sharable Brussels salad. For dinner we ordered the Big Ang pizza. Also very good. What we didn't like was we had a 6 pm reservation for 2 people and were seated promptly. We ordered our first round of drinks and were enjoying our appetizer when a “manager” came to our table and offered to comp us a round of drinks if we moved to the bar and let them add our table to another group that also had reservations. We reluctantly agreed and as we approached the crowded bar we asked if there was another option. He said “Oh yes, would you like a booth?” Which we did and probably should have been seated there originally. He proceeded to throw his hostess under the bus for seating us where she did originally. Food was good but that interruption to our dining experience didn't sit well. They did comp our first round of drinks. With so many great dining choices in Old Town we won't be in a hurry to come back even though we liked the food. We liked our meals at many other places as well, but without the service interruptions.“

“My family and I went here for Father's Day dinner. The service was amazing. The food wasn't the best. The breaded catfish was bland. The burgers were dry, the wings were the best thing we all agreed on, and the drinks were watered down. My daughter's ordered the lemonade, and it had a funny smell to it. It wasn't busy at all. The ambiance was good. Overall, the rating was a 3 star only because of the food.“
