The food is great and so is the service. It has a very friendly and inviting atmosphere. You have to try the Cole Slaw. It is really very good and they make it there. I highly recommend it. Plenty to choose from with good prices and some of the best service you will find anywhere, hands down!

Village Tavern is a popular restaurant, known for its friendly service and casual atmosphere. The menu is not extensive, but the dishes are generally well-regarded, including standout items like the Reuben, crab burger, haddock sandwich, dune fries, crab dip, salmon BLT with dill mayo, and pulled pork with BBQ sauce. The bar offers a good Old Fashioned and a well-stocked selection of drinks. Breakfast omelets are awesome, and the coffee is terrific, with carafes left at the table. This place is just not a bar the food is great and the service is great. It is a Walkersville favorite and the best in town, a place where the locals hangout. The atmosphere is what you should expect from a hometown favorite with fire food and great daily specials. The menu has a little something for everyone.
