“On July 25th I ordered 1 doz. Large Steamed Crabs ($95) from Madonna Seafood. Madonna "used" to be the best place for crabs. They were always consistently seasoned well....that was not the case yesterday. This dozen was completely dried out...they were either VERY overcooked or my guess is they were re-cooked. Definitely not worth $95....please retrain your steaming team or you will lose business. i will be going elsewhere.”

“We just had the best experience at this restaurant. The staff were very helpful and polite sharing lots of big smiles. We got the lamb chops which I can honestly say are some of the best we’ve had at any restaurant. The chicken in the Tikka Masala was melt in your mouth tender. The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who grew up in India. He said it’s true to his memories of food from his mother land. Please give this restaurant a try. You won’t be disappointed. “250828 - By the time we reached Sparks, the muffins had begun to take effect; we were low on fuel, having come off the highway, aware wet were close to ‘Empty’ in unfamiliar country. Nervously looking for a gas station, ambling along our way back to Canada after a week in the capital. Some said we were brave to visit, we never minded, soaked it all in, we were just there to check on our American cousins, see how y’all were making out in a rather turbulent time. Loved the rolling countryside and gorgeous homes in the area - hmmm…a preserve of the ‘horsie set?’ we thought. Now, even lower on fuel, we caught the sign and stopped at TFS. We surveyed the place, quirky storefront and round the back which felt surprisingly, decidedly chill. Straightaway, we struck up a conversation with a friendly physical therapist, because we’re that kind of chatty. Had a spontaneous, lovely and wide-ranging chat including the whole family. A delicious milkshake, I think a cookie, and couple washroom breaks later, our new friend sent us on our way to the Exxon down the way and a nearby turnoff to get us back en route to the north land. Felt really good to meet a kind helpful soul along the way, the kind of people we wanted to show the kids, and we somehow knew we would certainly meet on our drive into NY, PA, MD, VA, DC. Now back in the land of the silver birch, home of Lord Stanley’s sport and the ‘double-double,’ I am just reading about your late friend Rosa and how much she’d touched you all and your beloved TFS :) Nice lil place. “After a difficult day I wanted to treat myself to one of my favorite local meals… the decadent Fettuccine Alfredo at Paesano’s. I was greeted with a bright-eyed smile by Sara, and when she recognized my trials- she offered a hug & prayers. I won’t soon forget that! “I was there last weekend in what was my first outing since having major knee surgery. I showed up on crutches and a full knee immobilization brace. Without me having to ask, the waitress offered us a table that was a little more tucked away, she asked if I needed an extra chair to rest my leg on, and even put my crutches aside for me. Outstanding customer service and human kindness. The food was fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.”
