“If you’re in Bar Harbor and you want to drink until 1 in the morning, this is one of two options. But lucky for you, it’s a great option. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable, and the whiskey selection was above average. I tried a new Japanese whiskey that I had never seen before. That’s a pretty cool thing to experience in northern Maine in December. You can also see women dressed like Elsa from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and men wearing colorful ski jackets from the 80s. The Barnacle is a must visit if you’re in Bar Harbor.“

“Wicked awesome to find a restaurant that has great food, is reasonably priced (for Bar Harbor) and also caters to food allergies! “Yesterday my daughter and I were excited to take my husband to Blaze as we had such a great experience previously. We had our lab/Pyranese mix Tucker Lee with us. Sam, the bartender greeted us and she proceeded to take our orders/make us drinks. We enjoyed our meal and enjoyed the music next door. Tucker Lee Sat at our feet watching his surroundings and waiting for some treats from us. He let out a little bark 3 times. They were quick minor barks looking to go make friends and he quickly settled back down. No one was near us and no one in the surrounding tables even flinched as we were in a dog friendly town/bar or so we thought. Sam decided she no longer wanted us there. With my drink still half full she told us she was going to get our bill together as she was uncomfortable and that we should not have a reactive dog in public. She then went on to tell us she works with animals. This same dog that apparently made her uncomfortable with a quick minor bark was greeted at other restaurants in Maine with open arms, a bowl of water and lots of petting. He was also greeted in Bar Harbor along the walkways and trails by many people wanting to pet and interact with him. The guy with the parrots had Tucker Lee interact with them. It is her loss and now Blaze's loss. I hope she enjoyed the generous tip I left to ensure the others were compensated as it will sadly be the last time we visit Blaze or recommend it. Great food and drinks is one thing but friendly and decent service is an absolute must. You cannot insult your customers especially their beloved pets. Also if you are going to be a dog friendly bar be sure your bartender greets all dogs with water, a treat maybe and an acknowledgement. Tucker Lee got none of those. Only a judgement on his size. Big dogs deserve love too!“

“Slice of Eden made our wedding cupcakes last year and they were fantastic! We had half of them made as chocolate with Swiss buttercream icing and half blueberry lemon cupcakes with whipped cream icing. They were a huge hit and gone so fast! We decided to have them make us a small blueberry lemon cake with whipped cream icing for our anniversary this year since we did not have one to save from our wedding. They knocked it out of the park! I can’t say enough good things about this place!“

“Had dinner tonight and enjoyed ourselves. Our server, Patrick, was wonderful! He got quadruple sat and handled each table with grace and efficiency. Our meals were tasty and we loved the people watching while seated outside. Would definitely come back the next time we are in town.“

“Stewman’s Lobster Pound in Bar Harbor, Maine is a must visit! The whole lobster is absolutely delicious, and the shrimp is equally amazing. The views of the harbor make dining here even better, and the service is friendly and attentive. It’s a popular spot, so it can get busy definitely get there early. A perfect place to enjoy fresh seafood and soak in the charm of Bar Harbor!“

“Recently visited Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. During our stay we ate here several times. Every one of our meals was delicious. Fish and chips was the highlight. First time having haddock fish and chips. Really well executed on crispy exterior and moist flakey flesh. The service was good. Met some really nice wait staff here and enjoyed the conversations.“
