“Absolutely delicious meal at the chef’s bar. Between us, my wife and I had the baby kale salad, cheese course, grilled oyster mushrooms, fried cauliflower, pierogies, mushroom fettuccine, and the brisket. Every dish was outstanding. Highly recommend going!“

“Otto’s on the River was a true foodie experience. Our table of 5 ordered a few apps and entrees from steak to seafood to vegetarian. The table was very quiet once we started eating our meals. This was due to mouthfuls and chewing and sipping delicious cocktails and cold beers! Great wait staff and attention to detail. Nice atmosphere- relaxed, unhurried…highly recommend.“

“Over the weekend we had our wedding reception at the Ogunquit location, and it was absolutely perfect! Everything turned out better than we could have imagined. The service was exceptional, and every staff member we interacted with was so kind, professional, and attentive. The entire day ran seamlessly thanks to their incredible team — they truly went above and beyond to make our day so special. “We do not recommend dinning in here as in our experience the service is far from good.. however the food was great! We will definitely order take out in the future but will not be returning to dine in. The server didn’t understand what my husband ordered (even though it was a beef enchilada) so he just put it in as a taco salad. So by the time he recieved the correct meal the rest of our party had already finished eating. The server didn’t ask if anyone would like a refill or another cocktail.“

“Consistently good food, not spectacular but good quality. I used to eat here a lot more frequently, but since both the flatbread pizza's and the charged drinks have disappeared I fin myself dining elsewhere usually. I know that it is for all Panera's and not just this location. Bring them back and I'll be a loyal customer again!“

“Usually we are happy as this place isnt as busy so we can get in and out. Took a few minutes to even be greeted at the door. Then longer then expected to take our order, not asked how everything was after a few bites so had to flag our server down, refill on fries was 12-15 minutes, freezing cold in there as well. People behind us had to flag down server via another server too. I understand short staff but dont seat people unless you can serve them.Not fair for the server, although she had 4 tables and food runners. 🤷‍♀️“

“Traveling through Maine from Ohio. Saw Slates mentioned in a Maine tourist magazine. Met friends here and were totally impressed with the special menu. Our waiter, Michael, was the BEST. He shared with us the story of how the restaurant began and other interesting background information. The food was delicious. If we were going to be in the area longer we would definitely make it there again.“

“Awesome vegan options! Customer service is great! The employees are always cheerful and joking. They messed up my order once and put chicken on my food, but remade it and gave me a side of guac for free which is always a bonus! 10/10. I prefer this location compared to the Augusta location. Augusta always seems packed and the customer service is not as good. Plus Augusta has messed up my food multiple times which seems to be a common theme there compared to Gardiner for whatever reason.“
