“First time here. FANTASTIC PLACE!!! The host was so friendly and welcoming, our server was courteous and efficient and the food was delectable!! I tried their daily special of shakshuka. SO GOOD!! My partner and I split an order of their peach pancakes for "dessert". Also very yum! We'll definitely be back!!“

“You must eat here! The atmosphere is lovely and laid back. The drinks (and mocktails) are wonderful. The food... the food is fantastic! You can't go wrong with the apps, but the Dilly Pickled Veg is the perfect little zippy snack while you wait for your dinner. The entire dinner menu is truly inspired. The bang bang fried chicken is always a personal go to... but I opted for the Crab BLT tonight and was blown away! My hubby had the Lamb Shwarma and practically licked his plate... the pita alone was a light, fluffy delight. If you order the fries, which you most certainly should, get the garlic aioli... you'll thank me later, it's also good with the lamb. ;)“

Having dined at Side Street in the past I already recommend this establishment to my clients traveling to Acadia for good food and adventure. “Great location within the strip of shops. There is plenty of outdoor seating. We went around 3 pm, so after lunch rush. We waited for around 5 minutes (they had to clean a table). Our server was nice. He took our drink order, and it came out in just a few minutes. We ordered our food, and it came out within 10 minutes. The shrimp po'boy was good. The sauce had flavor but just a little much on the sandwich (it was hard to pick up and put down, got soggy). The chicken salad sandwich was pretty good and light. The lobster roll was a good portion size and didn't have too much mayo. The potato chips had light salt, which tasted good with the sandwiches. The lobster salad was basically a bunless lobster roll. The portion was large and came with a vinaigrette dressing. I ordered a blueberry frizz. It was very sour and didn't taste much like blueberry. Handicapped accessibility would be limited; no ramp (that I saw) to eat inside, you could eat outside 1st floor, which is under cover. The bathroom is tricky, getting in and out with 2 doors that open the same way.

Parking: Street parking that can be difficult to find a spot.

“Stopped in to this sweet restaurant Labor Day weekend after visiting the Schoodic Peninsula and on our way to the airport to fly home. Great food, amazing blueberry pie (with blueberry ice cream), but even better was the customer service. I accidentally left a small bag on the table and didn't realize until we were already at the airport. This wonderful staff shipped my bag all the way to South Carolina for me. Can't beat that! “Ohhhh Rouge….Where do I begin….I don’t normally leave reviews like this but in this case I just had to say something…..

It was ASTOUNDING!!!! It was my wife’s and my privilege to eat at such a true restaurant. The setting/ambience is very chill and comfortable. Our server was impressive as she was solo and had a decent number of tables to care for. She kept us feeling like we were no bother to take care of and didn’t have the need to fawn all over us which we hate anyway.
I suppose you want to know about the food…
Well, let me tell you that it’s GOOOOOOD…like soooooo good that they can bring you the totally wrong dish and it absolutely doesn’t and shouldn’t matter (thank you for the scallops Chef but the haddock rocked as well?). This isn’t just trendy “farm to table” food, this is something different. Local ingredients…sure…cool…right on. There’s just something about the prep and finishing that stands out….I say it’s love and an attitude of dedication that we as patrons are invited to share in.
If you’re a bag of tools who has expectations that must be met otherwise you’ll never go back….Good! They don’t need or want you. Be patient, be cool and most importantly…be grateful for what they’re trying to do for you. Thanks everyone! Can’t wait to see you all again.“

“Ordered a panini and was mistakenly given someone else’s order with 3 paninis. Once I returned to the register and informed the staff they immediately worked on sorting it out. Not only did they make sure my correct order was out in the next five minutes, they refunded my entire purchase. The food was definitely worth it and I would come back and eat here again.
