727 Ocean Sunset Bar Reviews
Lovely would be the best word to describe the Smugglers Cove. I traveled alone and had no concerns about my safety. The breakfast is very filling and will give you energy for the day. I was able to skip lunch, since my breakfast was so filling.
The dinner option that I chose was a lobster mac and cheese. It tasted as if it was done by a gourmet and it was loaded with lobster! Yeah. My room had a good view of the waters both pool and river. The staff and other vacationers...read full review
Wonderful Inn and restaurant! We had a medical emergency-my husband had to have emergency surgery! The staff went out of their way to help us! I don't know what we would have done without their help! We are So Grateful for all of them! Our room was very nice and comfortable! Room and bathroom were very clean! There is a balcony with great views of the bay and sunsets! There is a nice heated pool and a private beach with kayaks, paddle boards and fire pit. There is a Great restaurant...read full review

727 Ocean Sunset Bar is a short drive from Ocean Point, offering both outdoor deck seating and indoor seating. While the sunset deck is very pretty, it does not offer a direct view of the sun itself. The service is friendly and fast. The lobster roll is a highlight, described as very solid and the least expensive anywhere. It is served on a split roll with an option of mayo or butter; the mayo version comes with arugula, parsley, and green onions. It is a 5/5 dish and comes with fries. The garlic butter fries are also really outstanding, a 5/5. The Caesar salad is an okay 3/5. The andouille lobster gumbo, however, was incredibly salty and more soup than stew, making it mostly inedible and a 1/5 for taste, though it did contain generous portions of lobster. The amazing blueberry crumble dessert with ice cream and whipped cream is a 5/5 and delicious, served with the hot crumble and ice cream in separate dishes. It is a nice place for drinks, and getting the lobster roll and blueberry crumble makes for a 5-star meal.
