We stopped by during our visit to the area, and had the absolute best time at this restaurant and Bar.. We sat at the bar, and there was a blonde woman working the guy who could not have been more helpful, friendly, and fun.

We stopped by this past Saturday, and both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The elk was one of the best dinners we’ve both had in a long time, and the lobster roll was on point. So cool to see that they have their own lobster tank here and everything is made fresh to order. Shut up to the kitchen, they were crushing it!

“I want to say thank you to the 2 amazing people working the booth at fryburg fair today Friday. We stopped to get the best bacon puffs. During the wait time my mom got very dizzy and nearly passed out . With the quick help of these to wonderful ladies they quickly got her a chair and we're kind to come out and kneel beside her and make her feel comfortable. My mom said she is so upset and embarrassed to have done that. But a huge shout out to say thank you so much. And keep up the great bacon puffs wish you were in vermont ! Love these do you ship?”

“Me, my wife and daughter had breakfast there today and MAN, it was AWESOME! I had meat lovers omelette and the ingredients are COOKED in the egg, not thrown in and folded over. Same with my wife, amazing ham, pepper, and onion omelette! The best was the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast and it was probably one of the best french toast dishes I've ever had! VERY reasonably priced, service was excellent, and LOVED the fact they LOVE our military! The picture collages hanging up were awesome! My father is a Vietnam Veteran and I support those that support them!! Highly Recommend!!!!”

“If you have a hankering for an Amatos italian, this is a good stop. Service is different with the food on one side and cash register on the other side of the store. After being ignored by the food preparers for over 5 minutes, I found the kiosk where I could order. Food was ok after I got it, but just not the same atmosphere of a regular Amatos sandwich shop.”

“I come in once a week for the food but often enough to know the workers quite well. I enjoy the service so well i make a point to even just stop in on my morning coffee run just to say hello. I have had no issues with jen nor jodi. They are great, super friendly and funny. They make the best pick your sandwhich as i never know what i want and let them suprise me. I do not appreciate how ever the lack of enthusiam in one worker, eric. Hes rude and i see him standing around more often then not. I see customers prefer to have jodi or jen make they sandwhiches. I come in like i said often enough, i see alot. The atmosphere is so different when hes there.”

“Sadly THIS IS NOT THE SAME BAY HAVEN YOU REMEMBER OR THAT PEOPLE RECOMMEND!!!! imagine my surprise when I opened the app to write this review and see that my review from five years ago was the first one on here that you can see below. I couldn't say enough about how good everything was. And had been years before!
My new experience: i had my son meet me there. He had never been so we could get a twin lobster, dinner and some steamers, and the sides, and I decided what the heck and or did us both a shrimp and scarlet plate to go. For a grand total of over three hundred dollars, which I would not mind paying if everything had been wonderful. But it was not. I'm including a picture of the shrimp and Scala plate that went to my home and my son's was exactly the same cause. Neither one of us opened until we got home. And this is what we found for I believe $38. You can look at the menu. It's around 38. The worst part is. I got home late at night. Looked at my dinner and couldn't believe it was all overcooked. It was horrible. I called the restaurant and spoke with a woman who claimed to be the manager who told me that I had waited too long to call. It was during the week or it was towards the next weekend. Because I work 8- 5 every day. And when I called, they told me that the owners were on vacation and the most she could do is give me credit for another time. I said, are you kidding? You think I want to come back and have this experience again. I was honest with her and told her even though they were really tiny. The twin lobster dinner was delicious. Our steamers were delicious. Our chowder was delicious. But the orders, the take home orders that were already packaged in the bag. That we didn't get to see until we got home. You judge for yourself. As I said, i'm including the pictures, I wouldn't waste the time gas money anything to go to this place again. I tried calling and get a hold of owners again. I left my phone number. Nobody called me back. They don't care!! It's that simple. So for two dishes that cost thirty something dollars. They would rather have people write these type of reviews and warn everybody not to eat there anymore. Because it's not what people think it is. Oh, and she did tell me that the pictures she said they're stock pictures. They're not the seafood platter that's what it used to look like ginormous. And if you look on there, the shrimp are huge. I tried telling her the shrimp are always, and she said, oh no, well, you haven't been here in more than a couple years because we've been, we switched to the small shrimp a long time ago... are you even kidding me? This is what you tell a patron of your restaurant?? So much for customer service or carrying what your patrons enjoy. They're just looking to take any anybody with money. That's stupid enough to leave it there, I guess. And I was one of them. It truly is sad. I'm going to also add a picture of my seafood that I get from my local pizza place in laconia, new hampshire. That is ridiculously visually a hundred times better than what you see here from Bay haven. And there's almost nothing in the container & the bay haven shrimp looks like it came out of a can. Or the tiny frozen ones from the the grocery store.

Hidden Gem!! Excellent food, service, portions &pricing. Phenomenal perfectly cooked seafood. Ordered the seafood platter, twice baked potato, cup of lobster stew, steamers and husband had Fried Haddock dinner. Everything was excellent, it was our 1st time here and it's worth the drive and wait for a table because they are busy = All around excellent experience!! Haven't tried their non fried or other dishes next time will try their prime rib surf and turf. Our waitress Christina was excellent!”
