“Higher Grounds is the coolest store ever. My husband and I stopped in twice during our Portland stay from out of town. We bought a variety of THC products and found the prices reasonable and quality to be exceptional. It’s a calm and ambiant place free from judgement. Everyone we spoke to was super kind and helpful!“

“We were there at the Regency for a 2 day conference and this was very convenient for us with a short lunch break. The food came fast and was very good. It was a beautiful day and very pleasant. The noise level was what I expected for a summer day in the Old Port with the background music blocking most noise.“

“My husband and I traveled from the Ellworth Maine area to both build terrariums and look for a plant that has been on my bucket list for some time. This place did not dissapoint even remotely! We built 2 amazing terrariums without any knowledge about them going into it and came home with a Thai constellation Monstera and a baby pitcher plant! It was one of the most fun and grounding expierences of my life. All of the staff and the owner were so helpful, knowledgeable and passionate about it all! I wish I lived closer as I would frequent this place often just for the people and atmosphere alone! Words can describe how special of a place they have and I hope to see it continue to thrive for years to come. I have a mobility disability and getting around many places in a wheelchair can be a challenge but their set up makes it easy to get around and the staff are so ready and willing to assist in all of the things. If accessibility is a concern for you dont let it be! I want to give a big heartfelt thank you to the staff and owner for this amazing expierence (and a thank you for the happy birthday note in my monstera ❤️).“

“While Portland, as a whole, hates making money on the weekend breakfast crowd. PMA Cafe came in clutch. They actually serve food. Like, I get that some people consider coffee to be a meal, some of us actually need food to be able to function. PMA Cafe, while the prices are a tad bit higher than what im used to paying, had excellent food and an attentive server.“

I ordered a maple latte and my partner got a caramel latte. Both were delicious! The atmosphere was amazing. I wish we had time to hang out there but this we had a long dbotanical.

The staff were very friendly and it smelled divine in there with coffee and tea mixing with fresh botanicals.“

“Omg so good. I went there like twice a week when I lived in Maine. The passion fruit tea was my favorite. I loved how it was sweet but had that bitter aftertaste to get my tongue back to normal. I was generally scared to try new flavors though. One time I tried the matcha and it was amazing. Like I didn’t even taste the bitterness of the matcha since it was mixed with strawberry syrup. Also the barista with green hair was always so nice and a good worker. They deserve a raise.They made the best drinks and I knew I could count on them to not disappoint me when I got my drink. They also started to memorize my name and order which was sweet. They really know how to make a matcha good. Wish I could summon them everytime I need boba or coffee. I miss that place mannn…“

“My husband, MIL, and myself were visiting Maine all the way from NC and came here TWICE during our visit. First was brunch, then dinner. Both meals were exceptional. Our waitress(I wish I could remember her name, but she has long, red hair), gave the best service I have ever experienced in my life! “I went to this store for the first time of tuesday afternoon this week. I'm not from the area and had gotten lost. My phone was not charged so I didn't have a GPS to help me find my way to where I was going. I'm a single mom and I was getting worried. A gentleman there by the name of James saw how worried I was and asked what was wrong. I explained my situation. Even though he was busy he took the time and actually wrote down every turn or exit I needed to take, he literally wrote step by step what I had to do to get me and my young children home safely. I can't even begin to express how much this meant to me, because of his kindness we made it home safe. It's workers like James that make businesses great. This store is lucky to have someone who not only does his job but goes beyond that and helps others without regard of being recognized.“

“WONDERFUL staff. Genuinely some of the kindest bunches of people I've met in service industry. Honestly the food was delicious but the cinnamon rolls are with a hard glaze, not what I expected. Atmosphere was pretty nice although when we went, ICE was outside the strip mall, and its not necessarily Panera's fault but it made the atmosphere very uncomfortable.“

“Huge location. Incredibly spacious inside. Multiple kiosks for ordering. Definitely plenty of space to dine and order at your convenience. Coffee station is a nice touch to the layout right by the entrance. Loved my french onion soup and chipotle chicken avo melt. I even got a $4.19 chocolate croissant for free 😊“
