“Maine Coffee Roast is located inside an older brick industrial building near train tracks which adds to the charm of the business. The founder/owner, Holly, is one of the nicest and most talented people you'll ever meet, and a passionate and dedicated roaster. Each roast is like a newborn child to her. My husband loves the coffee and will now only buy local roasts. We stopped by today, a national holiday, but the retail store was closed. Holly saw us poking around outside and graciously let us inside. Monday is the day she fulfills wholesale orders and she offered to brew a cup for my husband, but we didn't want to distract from her work. It turns out that Maine Coffee Roast supplies the coffee to both Two Fat Cats, my all time favorite pie maker, and Sur Lie, where we just had dinner. The coffee is outstanding and if you are on the way to Portland, stop by and visit Maine Coffee Roast in Biddeford . BTW, Biddeford has some really cool retail and dining concepts!“
“What an absolute gem! Sam and Stina are incredible. Everything that we've tried on their lovely menu goes above and beyond our expectations and desires. Flavor combinations and profiles are impeccable. You can tell they truly care and love every aspect of the business. Best local grab and go cafe experience. Everyone desires a lovely Fika! Thank you for what you do.“
“I tried the Pistachio Latte because it sounded delicious and I'd read positive reviews about it. It did not disappoint! The Maple Pumpkin Butter Toast was equally delicious. The staff and service wasn't lacking either. On a cool, dreary day, this spot was warm and satisfying. I'll definitely return.“
“Boulangerie is always so yummy! From their Oatmeal Bread to their asparagus Asiago quiche and not to forget the best croissants on the east coast!! Today they had Saint Patrick’s day doggie biscuits /-green of course. The owner is super nice and always has a smile and a nice word as do all the staff. I really like that you can buy a loaf of bread for the local food pantry. Don’t miss this gem.Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome!“
“My partner and I go to Cole road cafe weekly. The food is always great, service is kind and welcoming, prices are reasonable, and the specials menu is always interesting and delicious!Kid-friendliness: There are often other children there- they have booster seats and high chairs and while the acoustics aren’t great for children, they have coloring books and crayons and nicely decorated tables in the large room and a big window to spot birds from“
“Seven High is our official go to. The benefits of having a restaurant with this atmosphere, food, and service makes us locals so lucky. We have made five official visits for dinner and dessert since they opened their doors and we have not been disappointed once. The owners had a vision and truly brought it to life. Their staff is as kind and engaging as they are, and I truly don’t think they would have it any other way. Their menu has a perfect selection to accommodate everyone, and they have no problem making additional accommodations if needed. The drinks are to die for, especially when Kacey makes them! Basic or Apple Cider Margarita will make you want another, along with their great selection of beer. We’ve had the calamari (amazing), pork flautas (my husband asked if we could order six as just a meal, of course they said they could work that out), the Lamb Shank which is a special that we hope to see on the menu permanently, the haddock (I’ve ordered four times) the burger - perfectly cooked, the Tuna (wow) and their bread basket which offers two sizes with oil or butter and HOLY MOLY, we are obsessed. Sarah makes desserts from scratch - tonight we had the brownie skillet with cinnamon ice cream and apple crisp with a hot cup of coffee. We truly can’t speak highly enough about this establishment, and of course having such an amazing restaurant to bring everyone together, a place to make new friends and feel catered to simply makes our hearts happy. Seven High is worth the drive we would normally make to Portsmouth or Portland, so make it a point to give them a try and let them know where you’re from. So much thought, effort and love was and is put into Seven High everyday, they deserve all of the support. I promise, you won’t be disappointed. We are true foodies, that can’t believe this kind of dining is finally close to home. It is hard to come by.Parking: Plenty of parking behind, off to the side or right on the street in front of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They do not offer a kids menu quite yet but they told us to bring the kids and that they would absolutely accommodate making meals specifically for them!Wheelchair accessibility: They have a full ramp for wheelchair accessibility!“
“Wendy and her team truly went above and beyond as our catering vendor on our wedding day! Wendy has impeccable attention to detail, and made sure everything from my rehearsal to my signature drinks were perfect. I also love that they use local, seasonal ingredients in all their dishes, and they are familiar with a lot of other Maine vendors and venues. My guests were happy too! I truly could not have hired a better team, and this vendor is part of the reason I was able to relax and truly enjoy my wedding day :)“
“A quaint cafe tucked neatly amongst neighborhood homes. This house turned business is cozy and homely, with a warm and inviting main room with lots of natural lighting for eating. The coffee is delicious and robust, with many bakery options and sandwiches for your breakfast or lunch. Will be back often to try all the delicious baked goods.“
“We went in here as a second choice. I’m so glad we did! The crab and avocado sandwich on fresh sourdough bread was absolutely amazing. The fresh muffins were warmed to perfection. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this quaint restaurant.“
“I'd been wanting to try their Portland branch while staying near Maine Medical but a blizzard stopped me. So today we went to the Saco location with friends and even this California food snob was impressed. Enchiladas were great, my Patacon(fried green plantain topped like a tostada) was delish and more than I could finish, guys liked their Lomo Saltidos. Only the tostones were not that good. Finally I can have good Central American Food in Maine!“
“The veggie maple breakfast sandwich is my go-to. Always consistent and always delicious. The workers are always very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is nice and clean with a good amount of seating. I am a frequent flyer here and everything is great quality!“
“Cheery cafe doing good business on a Monday. My tuna melt was good - less mayo would have made it great (so runny it was falling out of the sandwich). And for $15 it looked lonely on a large plate with NOTHING on the side - they should use a smaller plate or throw a garnish/chips on it.“
“You wake up Saturday morning and realize - hey it's the weekend. You get the first sip of coffee and your mind asks - what are we eating? Then an immovable thought enters - Rover bagel - but wait it's a thirty minute drive over and no dine in. Hold my beer, finish the coffee in the car - trust me Rover is worth the drive. We had The Shift Meal (everything bagel, bacon, avocado, roasted onions and hot honey), and The Classic Salmon (sesame bagel, smoked salmon, pickled red onions, NO CUCUMBERS, capers, fresh dill and plain cream cheese). Parking lot ambience, and always a smattering on nice people waiting for their bagels milling about. SOOOOOO worth the ride!“
“Just coffee, cakes and the staff, they are perfect. Many choices for coffee. No heavy food so when you walk in the smell is soooo gooood. With the coffee, just look for a cake and you are good to go. People are so gentle, polite, helpful. This is a relax place that we found. Love it.“
“I was very disappointed today when I picked up my broccoli cheddar soup. I love Panera and I haven't been there for a while. The price went up and today there was not one piece of broccoli in My Soup. I was so disappointed I could have drank the soup. No chunks of broccoli at all. It cost more and I got “
“Trendy little place. Some space to sit outside but mostly people just take it to go. When I was there on a Sunday morning, there was a wait to get an order about 15 minutes which was fine for me. We had a toast which was good, smoothie bowl and sweet basil smoothie (pink) and date nut (green). The prices here are not cheap ($8) but seems to be good quality ingredients“
