“Food is good. Fries and onion rings are delicious. Atmosphere is loud and chaotic. There is no service at all so expect to be bouncing around during your meal trying to find your needed items. Service at the register is quick but certainly not with a smile. The food is worth the trip. Everything I've tried so far has been very good but because of the lack of service and joyless staff I just order out. I'm going to do all the work anyway and I'll do it with a smile.”

The servers are very friendly, food is solid in my experience, and prices are not unreasonable.

“Stopped by for the first time recently after Blue Jay came highly recommended by a number of people I know. I tried their iced honey lavender espresso and my bf tried an iced matcha. Neither of us have had matcha before and I really enjoyed it. My bf decided he liked the espresso better, so we ended up swapping drinks. lol. The girl at the counter(sweet girl wearing a hat, sorry can't remember your name!) was very helpful guiding us through our options and ordering. She was even super nice about having to close early(she didn't ask us to leave until the last second she could) and she even offered food she was going to have to toss to someone that seemed like they were homeless. Such a lovely gesture! It's also super cute and clean inside and they have great little paintings of tea cups and things hung for sale to help local artists. 5/5 would recommend this place.”

“A pleasant surprise! We were driving leisurely back from Longfellow's Greenhouse on a Sunday afternoon, and stumbled upon Melissa's Pub and Grill. The food was excellent, as were the prices. To add to the enjoyment, there was live music from a guy named Justin Carver. The staff was pleasant, and seemed to have a good time together, which says a lot about a place! We'll be back!”

“Cruzin' Slice catered my wedding this past October. Although the venue was located outside of their typical radius, they graciously made an exception. I'm so glad they did! The pizza was delicious, the cooking time was quick, and they provided accommodations for dietary restrictions that some of our friends and family had. Communication leading up to the wedding was great and professional. Highly recommend for any event!”

My husband had the chicken parmigiana sandwich and he said it was the best he ever had. Kind, friendly employees. The place was nice and clean. Glad we found this restaurant. We will definitely be back soon.”

“Service is great, the place is cozy but the food is just okay. The House Lo Mein had a weird texture and flavor. Fried rice was not good. Sticky rice wasn't sticky. Eggrolls had a strange aftertaste but they are big. Sweet and Sour chicken was pretty standard, but was hot and fresh. I've eaten at a ton of Chinese restaurants and this one is a 6/10 overall.”

“Ok, first of all, I have never been unhappy when dining here. Much depends on when customers come to eat; when the food is fresh for lunch or dinner, those are the best times. The family who own the Buffet are very conscientious about presentation, cleanliness, service, etc. The family/employees become really bothered when customers take so much food from the buffet, then waste it, which can cause price hikes. I personally know the owners and they are fantastic folks who are established in Lewiston, work hard to please and have bills and taxes to pay like everybody else. There have been instances where customers have not offered constructive criticism, but who have been down right mean and judgmental toward the family of employees. Prices also tend to increase when customers are slobs, who trash their booths/tables. So, folks, as we honor those who work so hard to continue to feed us, let's consider how we come across when we are not satisfied. Let's refrain from stereotyping folks who don't look like us, who are working to provide for their families by inviting us to participate as paying customers. Not everyone will always be pleased-- and there are legitimate times where someone won't be satisfied for what every reason. Let's be kind. If the Mandarin Buffet is not good for what ever reason, politely tell someone, that's all. We don't need to make spectacles of ourselves in the restaurant just to prove how right or unsatisfied we are. Thank you!”

“We went for my birthday dinner with a large group of people. We did the hibachi. It was very entertaining, and our cook was very funny! The food was delicious! Drinks were great! Service was awesome! Some pricing was alittle high, but kinda expected for dinner and a show. We have gone a few times, and will be back! They sang happy birthday to me and brought out a dessert, which was rather tasty! What a great night.”

“I am a regular at this particular ajs, the staff all know my order and do their best to get it in ahead of time if they see me in line. They are usually always friendly and often give my children stickers which is always a bonus. Despite lots of turnover over the years I've grown accustomed to this standard for my aroma joes. Don't forget to tip your batista they work hard back there.”

“This Diner reminds me of when the farmers would go for breakfast and stop in for a wholesome meal. Everything was excellent. They use fresh ingredients. That’s a big deal for me. There was fresh Spinach in my omelette and that was a very nice surprise. Nothing was greasy. The Mailhots were quite tasty, and the home fries were also impressive. If you’re in the neighborhood I highly recommend you stop into Fran’s and enjoy! 👍🏼👍🏼”

“We tryed almost every place from Auburn to brunswick since we moved 2years ago we have finally found the place food was great tons of flavor and the portions were huge. And was still hot after a 20min ride home. the 2 older people who run the place were super nice and welcoming. Will definitely be going back next time we want chinese”
