She took time to explain to this uninitiated wine consumer the differences between wines, glasses, and tasting, as well as pairing with foods. Speaking of food, this was also splendid. We started with oysters, which was a first, calamari, pork belly, arancini, and focaccia that melted in your mouth. My main course was the Swordfish with sweet potato puree, fingerling, and swordfish "bacon" jam. This is a silent gem that I selfishly stays quiet for my purposes, but Back River Bistro needs to be visited by anyone who loves a small curated dining experience. Much success to Matt & Corrinna. It is much deserved.“

The scallops portion seemed a little small at first, but the cook noticed the same and brought out a few more, which made me feel they cared about their food and customers. I stop here every year after Monkey C, and you should too!

“Our first time although we have heard about all the amazingness of Red’s. We cannot rave about this place enough. The owner Debbie is so personable & kind with a huge smile that is contagious! Chef Shannon is a perfect pair to Debbie. Everything on this menu is fresh daily, dips & sauces made on the premises & you won’t find a lobster roll like you will get at Red’s. It’s a true family based establishment 🦞Together this is a MUST visit. There is a continual line & often a wait but it is worth every second in line.“
