She took time to explain to this uninitiated wine consumer the differences between wines, glasses, and tasting, as well as pairing with foods. Speaking of food, this was also splendid. We started with oysters, which was a first, calamari, pork belly, arancini, and focaccia that melted in your mouth. My main course was the Swordfish with sweet potato puree, fingerling, and swordfish "bacon" jam. This is a silent gem that I selfishly stays quiet for my purposes, but Back River Bistro needs to be visited by anyone who loves a small curated dining experience. Much success to Matt & Corrinna. “Wonderful, fresh seafood, fried perfectly. We get the Jumbo Mixed Sea (fisherman's platter) and split it. It's a huge mound of clams, scollops, shrimp, fish, fries=onion rings, and comes with a buttered roll and big dish of really yummy coleslaw. It's not outrageously expensive either -reasonable.“

“We held a reception in the 'Next Level" function room of the Bling Pig last Friday following a funeral. The food was great, the owner, Brandi was so very kind, accommodating and attentive in caring for us. So was sooo understanding during this difficult time. The space is absolutely beautiful for such an occasion, comfortable, well appointed, clean, I can't convey enough superlatives on this space. The food that's available for groups is great, wonderful.
