“Came in from out of town and made sure to check out a hockey themed bar being a live long hockey fan. Burger was good despite me not being super hungry. Service was great and our bartender/waitress was great. Only issue was this loud drunk couple swearing and yelling loudly at the bar, throwing F bombs and loudly calling people pussies. I watched the bartender tell him to tone it down a few times but the guy was just a loud belligerent drunk. I am no prude but I don’t go to a restaurant to listen to that. This was at 7:00 not 10:30. Glad I didn’t bring young children with me as that would have been an issue. Loved the place other than that.“

I haven’t been to downtown in a long time (I’m a country hick), and these two treated my group like we were the only people in the restaurant. As far as those two were concerned, we were royalty. While they were “just doing their jobs,” they were amazing. If the rest of the staff is half as good as these two, do not hesitate to stop in. We could not have dreamed of better service. I just hope we tipped enough for how they treated us.“

We used Berts for my daughter's wedding a month ago and we did a cake on each table instead of one big cake (we had many different food allergies.). everyone is still raving about the cakes! They were absolutely fabulous and the workmanship of Amy the owner, attention to detail and just the professionalism she showed was incredible. We were so happy with our choice. “I’ve been here more times than I can count! My college friends and I discovered this place our freshman year and it was a favorite spot. The staff is very friendly and the food is incredible. I bring everyone I know when I can. My favorite is the spicy pork dish because it’s a large portion and comes with side dishes. The owner once noticed I got a haircut and has always been so sweet. Highly recommend!“

“So I've always loved this Blaze, and it's been one of my late pizza-calls... Buuuuut, as with any relationship...sometimes things can take a slight turn..and sometimes they can even go a bit....sour....and by things...I mean chicken 😬

So, Long story long, My partner and I each ordered a build your own salad, and idk... I'd like to think I'm not really the jealous type but when my salad arrived, it didn't take long to notice something definitely seemed, well.....a bit fishy. 🥴Don't get me wrong, I love a good traditional Caesar dressing made with anchovies, I'm also the opposite of picky...that said I don't like my chicken coming home late smelling like bad decisions.

anyhoodles, ALL this just to say that when I called and reported the situation, Shelby, the manager on duty, was SO very understanding and immediately (after confirming I wasn't just a dummy about the dressing) offered to make it right. My partner and I ended up having a great night with great food (sans anything chicken) and fell asleep content with a great (not fishy) taste in our mouths.

We had a large table in a corner by the window. I had such a generous portion of hashbrowns and I was so happy with it. It's was reasonably priced for the amount of food you get.“

“We had the best experience with Layla’s Cool Pops. I ordered cake pops for my entire staff and on the day I was supposed to pick up we had a major issue at work that did not allow me to be there. “We celebrated our daughter's wedding with a family dinner (The Hopkins Wedding, a party of 14) in the loft area The service was outstanding! The food was amazing! I've never been to a dinner where everyone was saying, "You've got to try this!' and everyone was tasting each other's dishes. They were fine with us bringing a wedding cake and even found a box big enough to hold the leftover cake. Speaking of leftovers, most of us required take home containers because of the generous portions.We weren't about to leave food that tasty behind!“

“I was extremely disappointed at the food we were served on Saturday 8/07 . We ordered a shaskuska and it was a can of tomatoes with jalapeño that you bought at a store with two eggs on top, oh I forgot a few crumbed of feta cheese. It was cold and it tasted horrific. I have never experienced such a bad experience as breakfast like that before. It was tasteless and the price we paid for a can of tomatoes and 2 eggs ( even if eggs are more expensive now) it was almost $15!!! I was with a friend and did not want to make a scene so I did not say anything during my time there. I certainly won’t recommend this place.“
