“Visited their original downtown location for the first time today. Super cute building and interior space. Lots of seating options and space to read a book, work, have a meeting. Service was great and the staff members are friendly. They really care about you having a great experience while enjoying your coffee. Have a rotating selection of muffins, scones and bagels for non-coffee options. They also do various teas.“

“Lake Burger on West Main is a real gem. The burgers are made from locally sourced, pasture-raised beef, and you can taste the difference. Everything feels fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The fries are hand-cut and some of the best I’ve had — crispy, flavorful, and not too greasy. Jake, the owner, is there every hour, making sure things are running smoothly and checking in with customers. It’s rare to see an owner that hands-on, and it really shows in the quality of the food and service. Jake’s a great guy, and his passion for his restaurant comes through in every detail. If you’re looking for a great burger in Kalamazoo, Lake Burger is the spot. Highly recommend!“

“If you get the opportunity to be served by Logan and Jade downstairs, do not miss it under any circumstance. I haven’t been to downtown in a long time (I’m a country hick), and these two treated my group like we were the only people in the restaurant. As far as those two were concerned, we were royalty. While they were “just doing their jobs,” they were amazing. If the rest of the staff is half as good as these two, do not hesitate to stop in. We could not have dreamed of better service. I just hope we tipped enough for how they treated us.“

“This places welcomes with warmth, fresh smiles and enriching ambience. I used to come here when I was in the area. Nothing has changed since 2years except for increased smiles and warmth. I specifically drove from Chicago to have Brunch here. So far the best brunch places in USA and most importantly has many vegan options - unlike other places with only oat meal or fruit cup?.

“We celebrated our daughter's wedding with a family dinner (The Hopkins Wedding, a party of 14) in the loft area The service was outstanding! The food was amazing! I've never been to a dinner where everyone was saying, "You've got to try this!' and everyone was tasting each other's dishes. They were fine with us bringing a wedding cake and even found a box big enough to hold the leftover cake. Speaking of leftovers, most of us required take home containers because of the generous portions.We weren't about to leave food that tasty behind!“

“Out of all of the places in Kzoo, Blaze is the one I can consistently eat at without fear of dairy and wheat activated allergic reactions. Every time I've been, the employees have been kind and professional. My kids also love eating here!

“I really enjoyed my experience here and the food! The owner is very friendly and shows he really cares about the food. He is very accommodating and can adjust spice levels if you crave something a bit more spicy. The raita and carrot salad are the perfect sides to balance with acidity and cream to cool down your palate. I would recommend giving this place a shot, especially during the cold winter months!“
“We had the best experience with Layla’s Cool Pops. I ordered cake pops for my entire staff and on the day I was supposed to pick up we had a major issue at work that did not allow me to be there. The girls noticed it without me calling and took care of me. Hands down BEST service in town. The cake pops were so delicious. Thank you for an amazing experience!“
