“Came in from out of town and made sure to check out a hockey themed bar being a live long hockey fan. Burger was good despite me not being super hungry. Service was great and our bartender/waitress was great. Only issue was this loud drunk couple swearing and yelling loudly at the bar, throwing F bombs and loudly calling people pussies. I watched the bartender tell him to tone it down a few times but the guy was just a loud belligerent drunk. I am no prude but I don’t go to a restaurant to listen to that. This was at 7:00 not 10:30. Glad I didn’t bring young children with me as that would have been an issue. Loved the place other than that.“

I haven’t been to downtown in a long time (I’m a country hick), and these two treated my group like we were the only people in the restaurant. As far as those two were concerned, we were royalty. While they were “just doing their jobs,” they were amazing. If the rest of the staff is half as good as these two, do not hesitate to stop in. We could not have dreamed of better service. I just hope we tipped enough for how they treated us.“

We used Berts for my daughter's wedding a month ago and we did a cake on each table instead of one big cake (we had many different food allergies.). everyone is still raving about the cakes! “I’ve been here more times than I can count! My college friends and I discovered this place our freshman year and it was a favorite spot. The staff is very friendly and the food is incredible. I bring everyone I know when I can. My favorite is the spicy pork dish because it’s a large portion and comes with side dishes. The owner once noticed I got a haircut and has always been so sweet. Highly recommend!“

“You were a first suggestion from a local hotel. We went with it and boy were we glad we did! First thing noticed was the delicate yet beautiful land scape. Upon entering we were greeted with many “good mornings” :) it felt good. The colors of the establishment really make you feel welcomed. It was not hectic or crazy or loud yet the machine was working so beautifully. Our waiter was incredibly kind and on top of the coffee refills! The food….. my goodness how can we forget that…. I mean y’all are a restaurant right!! I swear it felt like I was reviewing something for better homes and gardens…. The food was priced well below average I’d say. “We celebrated our daughter's wedding with a family dinner (The Hopkins Wedding, a party of 14) in the loft area The service was outstanding! The food was amazing! I've never been to a dinner where everyone was saying, "You've got to try this!' and everyone was tasting each other's dishes. They were fine with us bringing a wedding cake and even found a box big enough to hold the leftover cake. Speaking of leftovers, most of us required take home containers because of the generous portions.We weren't about to leave food that tasty behind!“

He is very accommodating and can adjust spice levels if you crave something a bit more spicy.
