First of all, the food was amazing (our son said the deep dish was better than Giordano’s). But more importantly, Rob and his staff took were beyond hospitable to our 3 kids and I as we spent the next 5 hours utilizing their Uno cards, Connect Four and enjoying their complementary popcorn. “We order Jets very regularly at our office. So about 15 minutes ago I ordered tomorrow’s office lunch from Jet's Pizza Forest Hills location. About 14 minutes ago, I got a call from a GR number and ignored it .... because ROBO CALLS all the time..... I got a voicemail from James @ Jet’s trying to determine if my order was for tonight (since I forgot to change delivery time to tomorrow 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️) or for tomorrow. “Great Detroit style Pizza!“

“Their New York style pizza crust was a pretty good take on NY pizza, but the rest of the pie was not NY. I am not from NY but have spent my share of time on nybpizza quests in all 5 boros. This pie way too much of the mozzarella they brag about that was loaded on a sauce that has ZERO to do with the basil/ fennel sweetness of a NY pie. To serve a NY pie, you can't use a detroit sauce and it is essential to use a blend of cheeses instead of overdoing the mozzarella to the point of being the rubbery schmotz we received. Place was clean, phone order was efficient and our pies were ready when we arrived. As for detroit style pizza?... it's not my thing. In a pinch I would go to a jets again for cleanliness, service, and great attitude... but the food is not my fave“

“Ordered an Xlg Ham, gren and black olives, jalapeño, mushroom pizza no marinara but, instead garlic butter for the base. And Xtra cheese. It was thee absolute best pizza we've had. Ralph did an awesome job! We also ordered Garlicky cheese breadstix with jalapeños, 1 chicken bacon club and 1 ham, cheese,mushrooms and black olives sub. Everything was great! They never dissappint. Best pizza in Rockford for sure.“

“Honestly I can't believe it took so long to get around to trying flos pizza. I've been mourning a good local shop with a outstanding crust since brick road pizza went down, and I've finally found it.
If you're serious about a good crisp, but chewy crust, literally look no further.
To be honest, they missed a topping or two for the pizza we ordered, but I literally could not care less. This is the best pizza I've ever gotten in town.“

“I tried their pizza challenge. It was fun. The gluten-free pizza was good, too.

- Pizza 28” Challenge - $35: Super thin, but soft and fairly good.

The crust was dry, tough, chewy and was fairly plain. The pizza was easy, but the crust was very hard. I saved the crust for last (a tactic I learned from another competitor), but in this case, I think you need to eat the crust along the way so you don’t get tired of chewing it all at the end. Break it up.

I failed by one slice and almost all the crust I saved for the end. It sounds like the challenge is undefeated currently. Someone has to beat it. It is well within the possibility compared to other challenges out there. Though it is 28” and that sounds huge (it is huge), it is actually thin enough that it is still very much possible for those who train for it.

I’d have to guess it is 4 pounds. I weighed it at 3.5 pounds, but we couldn’t get it to balance well enough to take our hands off of it to get an accurate measurement. 28” is huge!!!

- Pizza 9” - $: Fits on a plate. My daughter ate it and reported it was good. The crust was plain.

- Cauliflower Pizza 12” - $: Except for the amount of cheese, it would have been my daughter’s new favorite gluten-free pizza.

- Service: Super helpful and cheerful. She was new, but it didn’t show at all. She was very proficient and amazing!

- Atmosphere: Clean. A bit on the darker side, but not bad. There is a higher ceiling and voices probably carry very easily. We didn’t experience that too much since we stopped by during a slow time.

- Conclusion: I’d certainly recommend this place for many reasons including the cheerful staff.

“We have ordered from this Jets for the last 10 years and they have never gotten our order wrong. We often make small changes (add this topping, leave this one off) and add extra ranch or other sauces to our order. They get it right EVERY SINGLE TIME. Whoever is running this Jet’s store is doing a fabulous job and has A+ employees.“
