“I had a small wedding last week with 11 guest attending. They were a joy to work with, even created special menus for us and allowed us to bring in a cake. Everything was well planned and went great. Pics on the property are beautiful as well. Highly recommend for small groups and weddings!“

The scallops were cooked perfectly,beautiful sear on the outside with a tender, buttery center. Paired with the creamy risotto and vegetables, it was a well-balanced dish that felt both comforting and elevated. The wine selection was also excellent, with plenty of great options to complement the meal.

What truly stood out, though, was the service, specifically Zion. While he wasn’t our main server, he consistently checked in, refilled water, and brought dishes to the table with such a positive, upbeat energy. Every interaction with him felt genuine, and he really elevated the overall experience. It’s rare when someone leaves that kind of impression, but he absolutely did.

Brendan, who was covering for the manager, was also very pleasant and contributed to the welcoming atmosphere.

Overall, the food and drinks were very good, but it was the people, especially Zion, who made the night feel special. I’d definitely return.“

“Five stars! We ended a week of camping with a vehicle delay on our way home and stopped for lunch at Big Bob’s while my husband took the truck to get fixed. First of all, the food was amazing (our son said the deep dish was better than Giordano’s). But more importantly, Rob and his staff took were beyond hospitable to our 3 kids and I as we spent the next 5 hours utilizing their Uno cards, Connect Four and enjoying their complementary popcorn. If you’re ever in the Grand Rapids area we highly recommend giving them a try. We’ll definitely be back next time we come through Grand Rapids.“

“I thought that since there are multiple Cottage Inn locations there wouldn't be real big differences between the locations when ordering the same item but I was definitely wrong. I ordered a roma pesto pizza from the downtown location and was really disappointed overall, especially when compared to the Roma pesto that I usually order from the Wealthy st location. To start with, there was no pesto drizzle and I initially didn't think there were any Roma tomatoes at all. I did eventually discovered though that there were a few on there, but I didn't recognize them since they were burnt black and crispy and looked like maybe spinach. There was too much cheese with not enough since and the combination resulted in a very dry, bland pizza that was absolutely different than the same pizza ordered at Wealthy.“

“We order Jets very regularly at our office. So about 15 minutes ago I ordered tomorrow’s office lunch from Jet's Pizza Forest Hills location. About 14 minutes ago, I got a call from a GR number and ignored it .... because ROBO CALLS all the time..... I got a voicemail from James @ Jet’s trying to determine if my order was for tonight (since I forgot to change delivery time to tomorrow 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️) or for tomorrow. In his voicemail he mentioned that since we usually order on Mondays, he’s going to assume it’s for tomorrow unless I call back. How many companies would go through that trouble??? Or even remember their regular clients?? I’m impressed. 👏🏼👏🏼“

“Had lunch today. Our server was very sweet and very good. We ordered the lasagna and seafood Alfredo. Wonderful on all accounts. Left with leftovers. Nowadays it's hard to find a meal that tastes like your mother made it. Huge compliments to the chef!! You are missing out if you haven't stopped into this gem. “My husband took me out for what he still calls date night after 30 yrs. of marriage. He and I are both foodies and love going on adventures for restaurants that go a step above in both food taste, presentation, atmosphere and service. And I'm here to tell you that Alfanos hit all of these with flying colors. Cody and Alex were our bartenders/servers. They were excellent. I had the Chicken picata and it was off the chart with flavor and presentation not to mention a healthy serving. Delicious is all I kept saying. Compliments to the chef!!!!! My goodness I can't wait to go and try something else. My husband had the chicken parmesan dinner and too was very pleased. Thank you very much to our servers and the Alfanos for a wonderful date nite and dining experience 😊 we will definitely be back.“

“I really wanted to love our visit because we’ve had such great experiences at the other Flo's locations, but this time was just okay. On the positive side, the staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming! They greeted us right away and made the pickup process easy.
The pizza itself had great flavor—the sauce is definitely a highlight, and they don’t skimp on the toppings. However, the crust was a bit inconsistent this time; it was a little doughy in the middle and didn't have that signature crisp we usually expect from Flo's. We also noticed the prices have crept up quite a bit recently, making it a little less 'budget-friendly' for a casual family night than it used to be.
It’s still a solid local spot, but hoping for a bit more consistency with the bake next time we stop by!“

Parking: The parking lot is surrounding the building and connects to both streets at the intersection, there are plenty of parking spaces available usually.“
