“We ate here for lunch on June 15 on the way back to IL. The young african american woman working the register was really nice and smiling and explained the menu well. We dined in and asked here if my son can eat his coney dogs that we bought from Leo's Coney Island a little north of Lefty's and she said of course which was great. My wife and I and daugther shared two cheeseteaks and loved them. Definitely would stop here again.“

“well, for a place that's going on it's 86th year in business, has a 96% recommendation, in such a small town as Ypsi, they must be doing something right. Been going here for over 55 years. Still the best chili dog I've ever had. It's a long drive for me, but I still manage to get there once or twice a year. With all that being said, I'll take 10 with extra chili and onions. just like the original. Try for yourself. You won't be disappointed.“

“Pizza made by hand, yum! But only Ed the pizza guy knows how to do it. The others do not. We only get it when he is there. Other food is good also. Worth a try...weekend nights.“

“Detroit has a great airport with great airport restaurants. National Coney Island had great food, and prices were not as elevated as we usually expect at airports.

The place was cute with a 1950's feel, and service was very friendly. Overall, food was served quickly, definitely under 10 minutes.

Greek salad and chicken and bacon salad are huge. Fries were great, and coneys were definitely solid. Good choice for Detroit!“
