“We were driving through looking for a quick take out with a more non-conventional menu besides just fried fish and chicken. I noticed sides like fried okra ( very generous portion and absolutely delicious), onion rings, fried green tomato, Mac and cheese bites, etc. Those fries were phenomenal, sprinkled with an amazing garlicky seasoned peppery blend that was SO good I could barely stop eating them. The dinner portion was great with (I kid you not) an amazing crunchy breading reminiscent of the fries in flavor. I would in a heartbeat recommend this food to anyone! Don't expect a fancy place; but the counter help was efficient and friendly. I hope to stop by Big Sharks Fish & Chicken again very soon!“

“I had very friendly service here. I was impressed by the number of any options and that they were able to cook a variety of items very well. Definitely not just chicken which I did not actually know. I do wish that there may have been some more descriptions about menu items. We ordered three different items. I think their fries are Sublime. Chicken tenders were a little bit dry. Philly cheese steak sandwiches where messy which in my book equals yummy“

“Went here off a recommendation from one of the winery workers in the area. Did not disappoint! Our server was friendly and good at her job. We shared the seafood platter and their evening special -Dover sole with summer corn risotto. It was all delicious! The restaurant was almost full after only an hour of being open so that’s saying something.“

“The food is great and good size portions that we left no room for dessert so we went back a second time and ordered appetizers and desserts for dinner. Got the shrimp that was outstanding and the chocolate cake. Between the great food and very friendly service we decided to go for a third time for lunch. What a wonderful place and I can say if we get back this way from Ohio again we will make it a point in stopping by for great food again“

“We dine at this restaurant often, and the food is consistently top notch with impeccable service. Robert, the owner, is very hands-on—always engaging with guests, sharing his knowledge, and even stepping behind the bar to make cocktails. It’s refreshing to see an owner so attentive and involved. We’ve never had a bad meal here, except for this past weekend when my husband ordered the filet. Unfortunately, it wasn’t up to the standard we’ve come to expect—it was rubbery and not edible, but Robert immediately had a new steak prepared and explained that they were testing a new supplier. He genuinely valued our feedback and mentioned that the previous steaks were a big reason we keep coming back. I ordered the whitefish, and it was absolutely superb—perfectly cooked and served over rice with a lemon white wine cream sauce. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. We always sit at the bar and love watching the bartenders craft cocktails. They are personable, friendly, and make the experience even better. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in St. Joseph. Occasional hiccups happen, but the way they’re handled here speaks volumes.“

Highly recommend asking for the mango habanero sauce. It is so good on everything including the coleslaw. Trust me on that. Don’t like me later.“

“Go see Chris at Papa Vinos !! We had a long week at work my husband and I and decided to go on a little date night for dinner. This place made the end of the rough week better. Chris was in top of it all and never said no. My husband asked for baked spaghetti and Chris made it happen and was on it for everything! We will definitely be back and will ask for Chris!“
