“I can honestly say A+ on all sides! My breakfast was hot, fresh, delicious. Quality ingredients. I feel good about what's coming out of that kitchen for a breakfast diner. The team was friendly, helpful, and busy serving all guests with a smile. Don't let a little line stop you from visiting the Lighthouse Cafe! It's worth the wait, and they will take care of you ASAP! You are their guest not a number! Good Job Lighthouse!“

“The culinary landscape in Northern Michigan in winter is a bit tundra-ish. Unless one wants to make the trek into Traverse City and spend a couple hundred dollars, the pickins' are a bit slim. This establishment has been on my radar for a while, but every time we've been in the area, the restaurant has been slamming busy. February is a great month to give it a try. There was no wait to get in and the front house staff was efficient and friendly. The food? Wow! We loved it. Everything - the perfectly fried chicken, the crisp but airy waffles, the chorizo in the burrito - was perfect. It was obvious that attention had been paid to detail and that standards were high. My one small complaint is that it is a bit tight and very loud in the interior part of the restaurant. I could not hear our waitress as she described the specials. That won't keep us from returning!“

“I think my parents might like Patrick, a server and bartender, more than they like me. Seriously though, a great year round restaurant for this area. Never have even had a meal there that I went, "That was just OK." I always leave thinking, "That was great."“

“I loved everything about this place. The vibe was good, the food was good (and quick!), and the beer was unexpectedly good. If you like Belgians--or even if you don't--the Rainmaker Ale is an extremely tasty and drinkable Belgian. It deserves all the acclaim it has received. Also, my house-made coleslaw was perfect.“

“The food was very good and fresh. Our granddaughter had a sandwich called a Rachel that had plenty of turkey, cheese, coleslaw on grilled rye and it was delicious. The French fries were seasoned just right. I had a wonderful salad with grilled chicken and dried cherries. My husband had the quesadillas. The main bar was extremely crowded with the local crowd, but the adjoining room had pinball machines, games and a pool table to our granddaughter occupied which was nice because the service was extremely slow.“

“This place is a great place to stop and get some ice cream! The home made soda is really good too. The kitchen sink ice cream is my favorite. It's a scoup of all the ice creams that they're selling. Like mixed in one ice cream not you get a scoop of each ice cream they sell.Just go and have a great time!“
