“The food is good, our waitress/server was great. However, I had a reservation for a birthday celebration and the hostess sat my party of 4 behind a wall, at a cold patio window in the back of the restaurant. The entire restaurant needs to be freshened up: the windows were dirty, the patio had "stuff" all over, the menus are very worn and the tables have scuff marks. The restaurant was full of people, seems to me there isn't any money going back into this establishment.“

“We hosted our baby shower at D’Amato’s in December, and it was absolutely fabulous from start to finish. It’s such an amazing spot for a private, intimate event—we had around 50 guests, and the space was perfect. The entire process was seamless, the food was unbelievable, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make the day special. Everything exceeded our expectations, and our guests are still talking about how wonderful it was. I would highly recommend D’Amato’s for any special occasion!“

“On Friday, February 6, we went to Capitol Grille. It has been our “Go to” restaurant for birthdays and anniversaries for many years, except the disappointment of our absence during the repairs caused by the fire. The food is excellent, the service superb. This time, however, we went to celebrate a very special event. We had no intention of disclosing the purpose, except to tell them it was a very special event. The hostess that seated us, got my wife to disclose the event. Before we knew it, the Manager, Eric, came to our table, expressing congratulations, etc. Several others, some we knew, and others we did not, also came to our table to express their congratulations. Eric then returned a second time, with more kind words. “Took 2 friends to dinner to celebrate their birthdays. Server was very professional and let us enjoy our cocktails before we ordered appetizers, salad and main courses. One friend ordered sea bass, the other ordered lamb chops and I ordered a filet. My friends main courses were fine. Unfortunately my filet was ordered rare and came out raw. My server agreed and took the filet back to the kitchen. Second filet came out, and again the steak was raw. Third time the filet came out medium rare to medium. Server took back the filet and asked if I'd like to try again or something else. I said no and he said he would send the manager over. Manager asked what the problem was. He should have already spoken to the server to know and then just apologize for the problem. I told him I wasn't interested in another meal and just do what he thought was right. My filet was taken off the bill, but should have at least taken the second round of drinks of the bill.“

“Ordered a custom German chocolate cake. It was totally perfect!! Everyone that tried it loved it. Triple layer cake with the coconut style frosting between the layers and a delicious buttercream frosting outside and drizzle and nuts. It was beautiful and perfect for what we needed. Even better the next day with my morning coffee. I’m really not a “cake person”, and even I couldn’t stop eating it. Bought some cupcakes and a sugar cookie for the road when I picked up the cake and all of that was amazing as well!“

“Simply Good is a life saver. There are so many meal options, plus great add-ons, their house-made hummus is hands down the best I’ve ever had, not to mention the take and bake chocolate chip cookie. The beef stroganoff with noodles never misses, and the chicken piccata is truly to die for. Everything is delicious, nutritious, and so practical. It’s also my go-to gift for friends who just had babies or need a little extra love.“

“Amy is so talented and did such a fantastic job! She listened to our ideas and offered suggestions from her experience. Our 3 tier cake had white raspberry, chocolate and lemon and the cake is tender and light as well as the frosting. Our guests enjoyed the cake too. Also, you have to try Amy's cinnamon rolls!“

“We’ve used Crispellis catering twice now - back in 2022 and now 2023 - both times the food was delicious and the delivery was on time, the set up was very helpful. The food was piping hot and packaged well to travel. They make the process easy and seamless. I cannot recommend them enough.“

“I ordered for the first time Wednesday, 1-10-24, from the new Waterford location. I got the lamb korma, some Naan, raita, and a mango Lassi (carryout). It took me a good twenty minutes to find the place because there was NO signage! My Lassi was warm and the rice was cold. Luckily the lamb was hot enough to warm the rice. I will definitely order again because the food was so good, but seriously, no sign?!“

“L.A. Cafe is a quirky little coffee shop that also offers breakfast and lunch. I've had their dark roast coffee as well as their chili nachos, and they did a nice job with both endeavors. Their menu and their indoor seating are somewhat limited, but that doesn't seem to create any problems, at least not on weekday mornings. I really enjoyed speaking to the young lady who works as their hostess/server; she smiles a lot and can hold her own in any engaging conversation. All in all, it's really good to see this alt oasis doing so well in a sea of regressive minds.“

“I AM SO BEYOND THRILLED TO LEAVE THIS REVIEW!!!! I've seen many post to try Bloomfield Bakeshop for cupcakes 🧁 I heard they offered vegan which is what I went there for as a gift. I'm not vegan but everything looked so amazing I had to get some for our house as well. The one that really intrigued me was the cranberry orange seasonal cupcake which was in fact vegan. I ordered 6 vegan as a gift and 6 mixed vegan and non vegan for my own household. One was even gluten free. I'm extremely picky when it comes to cupcakes. So many popular shops in the area imo are overly sweet/awful and I never understand how they stay in business. But THESE? Omg.... clearly made with top quality ingredients. And so much love goes into them! I'm absolutely going back to buy more. As a family we shared them all so we could all test different flavors and they were all exceptional. You could not tell the vegan and gluten free were not made with traditional cupcake ingredients. Honestly, the vegan cranberry orange was my favorite. It was a tough choice though, because all were wonderful. It makes me so happy to support this wonderful business. They were so helpful with carrying the cupcakes to my car because I'm injured currently and couldn't hold onto the boxes. Please support this wonderful bakery. They deserve your support.
