It’s such an amazing spot for a private, intimate event—we had around 50 guests, and the space was perfect. It has been our “Go to” restaurant for birthdays and anniversaries for many years, except the disappointment of our absence during the repairs caused by the fire. The food is excellent, the service superb. This time, however, we went to celebrate a very special event. We had no intention of disclosing the purpose, except to tell them it was a very special event. The hostess that seated us, got my wife to disclose the event. Before we knew it, the Manager, Eric, came to our table, expressing congratulations, etc. Several others, some we knew, and others we did not, also came to our table to express their congratulations. Eric then returned a second time, with more kind words. “We love this bakery! All their treats are 🔥. I especially love the cheesecake and cupcakes. We ordered both our baby shower cakes from here and everyone loved them. I don’t care for a super sugary frosting, theirs is perfectly smooth, the cake is extremely moist. We wanted a pretty basic design but they definitely get a lot more intricate if you want.“

“We first went to imperial in 2024 on our first visit to Detroit. As soon As we landed, we drove straight here for a meal that we knew would satisfy. The service is always fast and friendly ( ask your server for recommendations for food, drinks, activities they won’t steer you wrong). We opted for the taco of the week ( vegan chorizo and creamy), imperial Sonoran and tostada, as well as the nachos. We were all stuffed and happy. Shout out to Pricilla“

The coffee was good and priced fairly. They have a good sized breakfast menu. I didn't try any, but I plan to in the future.

Honestly, it's a bit baffling that there were so few customers. I went on a Sunday at 11. My Only guess is that it's not as close to downtown as the other coffee shops, which have poor layouts.

Try it out! It would be a good date place, place to study or work on your computer.“

“The food is absolutely fantastic. The pizza doesn't look like much but the taste and quality are great. You will be hard to find chicken tenders as good as these. Chicken sandwich was as good as popeyes and the sides from coleslaw, potato wedges and biscuits we're all great. I have forgotten how good sarokis is. EXCELLENT !“
