“I’ve been really hooked on this food lately—the No. 7 combo. I want to go every day, but I hold myself back because I’m worried about gaining weight. I resist as much as I can, but eventually I give in. Every time I pass by, I feel a little sad. Maybe it’s because I’ve been gaining weight lately, but I just crave it so much.“

“Our experience at Wendy’s this morning was, unfortunately, not a good one…initially…but I also believe that not every bad experience has to end in a negative review.
My husband and I stopped at this location today at 7:19 a.m. and ordered two breakfast sandwich meals through the drive-thru. We were asked to pull into the parking area, where someone would bring our food out. We waited 5 minutes, then 10 minutes, and after patiently waiting more than 15 minutes, my husband finally went inside to find out what was going on.
We were told there had been some confusion because our truck had been mistaken for someone else’s due to the same color. The two women managers apologized for the inconvenience and even offered us a complimentary meal, which we respectfully declined. Their apology and willingness to take responsibility were enough for us.
Unfortunately, when we finally left and headed home, we realized that our order was incorrect. We then had to turn around and drive all the way back to have it corrected.
For context, we had driven nearly 15 minutes from our local Ford Road Wendy’s to this location specifically because of the difference in hours of operation. What should have been a quick breakfast stop turned into roughly a 45-minute ordeal…especially frustrating after working a long night.
That said, I want to give credit where it’s due. Although the overall experience was disappointing, the managers taking ownership, apologizing sincerely, and trying to make the situation right made a difference. Good customer service isn’t about never making mistakes; it’s about how you handle those mistakes when they happen. It the resolve for us is not always at someone else’s expense. Meaning if we would have taken the complimentary meal, someone outside of us… would have to pay for it.
We appreciate the managers’ professionalism and willingness to take responsibility, even though the morning itself was far from what we expected. It ended with everyone smiling.“
