“Clean, friendly, attentive, excellent food. You can tell right away when you walk to the door that the owners love this place and are proud of it. I had the steak and eggs, both cooked to my rare/over medium delight and my rye toast actually came with my meal. So important. Loved our waitress Becky. I'm from Sfld and my sisters are in Mt. Clemens. We will make this our meeting spot from now on.”

“Made Friday night reservations 2 weeks ahead for a table (you can sit at the bar too with reservations). Free parking literally right in front was a huge win for a busy evening. We were on time and waited just a few minutes, which actually worked out because the open kitchen smells and those flames totally pulled us in. Super warm, cozy vibe and the space looks just as good inside as it does from the outside. Once we sat down in the cozy chair/table setup, we kicked things off with drinks and ordered apps and mains all at once. Everything came out fast and hot. The mussels, beef tartare, and tuna tartare were all flavorful, and just really well done. The only letdown was the Pollo that looked great but really needed more seasoning (& onions lol) to match the rest of the menu. Service was friendly & fantastic. Overall, it was an awesome family night out and a spot we’d happily come back to. 5/5.”

“A Fantastic Start to the New Year!

What a wonderful way to kick off the new year with a great event! It was my first time trying Polish cuisine, and I loved every bite. Every dish was made from scratch and full of authentic flavors — truly a treat.

The restaurant itself is beautiful — the long mural, the decorations, everything has a charming, native touch that makes the space feel special. The upstairs area was a lot of fun, and the Polish vodka and DJ music added a lively, festive touch to the atmosphere.

There is also convenient parking near the restaurant, which made the visit even better. I can’t wait to come back!”

“Food was good and service was acceptable (nothing special) but you had a group of 5 guys leave your restaurant last night somewhat bewildered after your waitress Katarina made it quite clear she was not happy with the 20% tip we gave her. Apparently, our stay of about 3 hours eating and drinking was excessive. We may not be back.”

“This place was incredible. We are from out of town, and it’s so good that I would drive back here to eat again. My husband said it’s the best pizza he’s ever had, and I AGREE!! It was so good we came back!!! We ordered SIX different pizzas and they were all DELICIOUS. And the fries tasted like heaven! Good salad too!!! The food was absolutely excellent from start to finish — the carrots and sweet potatoes were especially memorable (seriously, don’t skip them!). Every dish felt thoughtful, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor.

The staff is just as wonderful as the food — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. If you can, try to get a table by the kitchen. It adds such a fun, energetic vibe to the experience. And if you get a chance, say “hi” to Bella!

“If you're looking for a culinary adventure, try Saffron De Twah, a Morcoccoan restaurant on the east side of Detroit. The food is amazing--the chicken sandwich is the best you'll ever have in your lifetime. Don't leave without trying the tea. What a presentation! Even more wonderful than the food is Chef/Owner Omar's hospitality & generousity!!! One of his core values is giving back to the commuity through the Saffron Community Kitchen and his YouTube presentations. Did I mention he is a James Beard finalist? I will return again & again. My only regret is I did not take photos.”

“I order fairly regularly the tacos and chips and dips. All have been quite flavorful and delicious. I've been less impressed by the bowls and burritos as in general all can be overpowered by sauces. Great rewards program gives discounts and points often. The interior is fun but this store is a bit dark on the interior making it hard to read menus. Service is friendly and standard for service these days. Easy online ordering and pickup. Overall great if your looking for more American-styled Mexican food with punchy flavors.”
