“Super cute, loved this place!! Such a nice addition to downtown Charlevoix. Of course their wine menu was extensive and our server gave me a great recommendation for a red based on what I told her I liked. It was about $13 for the glass which was a good price! They were also running a sale for the weekend which was 25% off bottles! They have some snack plates that they get from an outside source and I had the meat and cheese grazing plate for $16. It was worth it! Super tasty and paired well with my wine! They have an awesome spot right next to the river and bridge so it's fun to sit and watch the boats go by and the draw bridge go up. I can imagine that they have an incredible view of the sunset as you can see the lighthouse and the lake from sitting on their patio! They also had 2 girls performing music which was a nice touch. I definitely plan to come back here next time I'm in Charlevoix and would recommend to anyone that likes wine.(Though my friend had a cocktail and she loved hers so there is other options if you're not up for some wine!)“

“Stopped in while traveling. My husband and I happened to stumble in at happy hour which was awesome! We split a couple of appetizers and then got drinks and split a meal. There was only 1 waitress taking orders and making drinks on the bar side and she hustled. The restaurant got busier as we were enjoying our food and she never missed a beat. Great food and service.“

The Town House Bar Bar • $
231 Bridge St, Charlevoix

“Ah, The Townhouse Bar, a legendary establishment that has weathered the test of time since 1949. This no-frills sports bar may not be the fanciest joint in town, but it sure knows how to serve up a good time. Now, let's address the elephant in the room--or rather, the dog in the bar. If you're looking for snacks to accompany your drinks, you're barking up the wrong tree at The Townhouse. This place is all about the beverages, my friends. Don't even bother trying to find a menu filled with delectable munchies. But hey, who needs snacks when you've got a glass full of liquid courage, right? The service at The Townhouse is surprisingly decent. The staff knows their way around a pour, and they're not afraid to give you a good one. Whether you're sipping on a classic beer or getting adventurous with a craft cocktail, you can trust that they'll deliver a libation that hits the spot.As for the ambiance, expect a no-nonsense sports bar vibe. You won't find fancy chandeliers or velvet drapes here, but you will find a collection of enthusiastic sports fans cheering on their teams with gusto. It's the kind of place where you can let loose, high-five strangers, and scream at the TV without judgment.Despite the lack of snacks, The Townhouse Bar has an undeniable charm. It's a time capsule of sorts, whisking you back to a simpler era where good company and a well-poured drink were all you needed.Keep in mind, this is a cash only establishment! So, bring your thirst and your cheering voice, and leave your snack cravings at the door. The Townhouse Bar will quench your thirst, tickle your funny bone, and remind you that sometimes, all you need is a good pour and great company to have a memorable night out. Cheers!“

LO Bar/HI Bar at The Earl Bar • $$$
120 Michigan Ave, Charlevoix

“A few areas for improvement are needed, but I love this hotel overall. I stayed with a friend to attend a nearby wedding, and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. When I noticed that the refrigerator in my room wasn't cold enough, a friendly maintenance person was there right away to replace it. Our housekeeper was also attentive and friendly. Most of the things that needed improvement were in the room. The deadbolt lock on the balcony door didn't work. Although, that didn't really worry me. We just reported it upon checking out. The thing that was a bit hard to deal with was the loud air conditioner. It was startling every time it turned on, and it required turning up the TV volume a little. It wasn't a deal breaker, though, because it wasn't loud enough to wake us up at night. My suggestion to housekeeping would be to include the balcony as part of the room cleaning after each checkout. It just needs to be wiped down and swept regularly of cobwebs and bugs. Everything inside the room was clean. Regarding parking, try to cut them some slack on the limited number of spaces. The hotel was built a long time ago, and they did their best with the renovation. My only issue is with the EV chargers that no one used during my stay, and guests with normal cars couldn't park in those spaces. I think EV chargers should be moved outside of the main lot on the side of the building facing Dixon Ave. Having said that, parking was plentiful during the day, but it filled up by evening. We had to park on Dixon Ave a couple times, but always nearby. To end on a positive note, the overall look of this renovated hotel is quite nice. I enjoyed the rooftop lounge, and was fascinated by the history of the place. I liked how a lot of the prominent features of the past were carried over to the renovated design.“

“Absolutely beautiful spot from head to toe. A little rustic modern, nautical theme. The views everywhere are spectacular. Extremely large upstairs and downstairs dining rooms and a nice patio overlooking the watervane. The food came out extremely hot and perfectly cooked. For how fancy this place was you don't need to break the bank to dine here. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling newr Charlavoix.“
