“We were looking for a local spot to get some coffee on vacation and this coffee shop cannot be beat! We tried two other locations that were nice as well, but came back to this one daily. The atmosphere is amazing, drinks were delicious with unique flavors like the baklava inspired latte. They also have a stellar drip coffee. Loved looking at the art on the walls, the collections throughout the room, and the lovely large plants up front! The staff were super kind and personable, and directed me to where we could find local pottery. The coffee shop serves cocktails in the evening, and even has live music events. We did not make it to those, but I’m sure it’s a great spot for night activity in this quaint town.”

“I have tent camped here several times, and it is always clean and quiet. It is in a great location, close to Munising. There is easy beach access close to any of the sites. The sites are shady and fairly private, with picnic tables and fire rings.”

“Stopped in with a group today and the food (BBQ - piggy fries, pulled pork sandwich, fish taco) was very good and reasonably priced. And the ice cream was very good.”

“Recently visited the upper peninsula. Let me tell you what a gem. Came across needing a quick meal and happened to find Toby’s doghouse. The women at the window was very personable and went out of her way to explain board with food. Burger was probably one of my favorite I had in a long time. Used quality meat and a nice in-house made burger. Way to go staff for exceeding my expectations!”

“Absolutely delicious. UP elegant ambiance, great service and every bite was delicious! We had the fall margarita, a rim of cider, salt and sugar stirred with a cinnamon stick…inside the glass a perfect blend of apple and pear ciders and tequila! Next came the Whipped Ricotta, drizzled with gold evoo and birch syrup. Hoping we did not offend by licking the bowl clean. I chose small plates of Butter Lettuce cups and the Potato Chip Whitefish puttanesca style….still dreaming of this! My husband had the Grass Fed Bison Filet Mignonette, I was never offered a taste so I judged he loved it! For dessert we shared the Crème Brûlée and fresh brewed coffee. For any one who believes the UP will not be a foodie destination they are not only wrong they have not met Chef Ali Adamczyk!”

“We are locals and want to say it was a great breakfast. Place was busy. We had the option of waiting 15 minutes for a table or taking a couple seats at the bar. We chose to sit at the bar. The waitress took our drink order right away. We ordered a cinnamon roll to split before we ordered breakfast. It was the most delicious roll I have even eaten. Our food came within 10-15 minutes and was also delicious. We watched the staff and they all worked together to get orders out on a timely basis. We have been there before and will definitely go back again!! Good job Earl e. Byrds!”

“the ambiance is great! everyone was friendly and welcoming. they didn't just "serve" food they continued to make sure we were taken care of. the music selection was peppy and we were surrounded by books, plants and play structures for kids. I wish we had something like this in Marquette. the only downside was 88+ degrees and no air conditioner!”

“Recently stayed at buck horn and was very nice .Food was good but we had groups of 7 some drinking some not,waitress would not give seperate checks.Our group staying there was about 20 and many are not returning over restaurant policy”

“When I was passing through town, I stopped here to get a quick sandwich and meal to go. It is a very popular place as there is a very long line. The staff were very friendly, although they were having a little trouble, figuring out how to use some of the equipment. They were probably just new, so they probably just needed a little more experience. There was some parking on the side, but there wasn’t enough for everyone, so you might want to park in the back if possible.

“Decided to try this place again as we come to munising every October and it was absolutely amazing! Customer service was top notch as well this time! Will be coming here for years to come!

“What a awesome stop at the Duck pond ...we tried the delicious whitefish chowder and cheese curds .
It's the cutest little place and super clean . They do close early October for the winter but re- open in the spring . They also have painted rock boat tours !”

“Usual go here 2-3 times a month and everytime the staff are friendly and helpful and on the one occasion they gave me the wrong burger they were more than happy to make it right. I can't say enough good things about this place, especially Olivia who always has a smile on her face and offers excellent customer service

“The nachos were very good and the serving size was enough for two! The dessert stix were also very tasty. Took about 25 minutes for our order as they were very busy. Carry-out only. The service was very good and I highly recommend!”
