“I always love a great grilled cheese for a rainy Michigan Saturday! We had lovely service and a quick time at lunch today. We started with the hot breadsticks which were tasty, and requested more pizza sticks. My mom had a Rueben that was nicely grilled and gooey.“

“What a great little cafe!This is a Mom & Pop establishment. It seems like the whole family is involved.The service is fantastic. They only have 5-6 tables. Tables, chairs, and benches lining the wall.Our table rocked because the floor is uneven. Nothing that little wedge couldn't fix.None of this will matter to you after you see how good the food is. Everything is made from scratch. So save room for a slice of their homemade Pies, then take one home with you.No, I don't work there, I'm not affiliated with the family, and I wasn't paid to write this review.But the real reason I went there was because I was told they have the BEST BURGERS in Jackson!!I was surprised that the edges of the burger were crispy. But that's part of what keeps the flavor in.I had the Mushroom & Swiss Burger, and it just melted in my mouth. Seriously!! It was soooo good. And you will know it's good because every bite is as good as the first.I love these little hole-in-the-walls. “We discovered one of Jackson's gems today. It's not a huge place but it's fantastic so if you have to wait- know that it's worth it. They have a variety of selections so I think it's safe to say something for everyone. My quiche Lorraine (a regularly offered choice) was delicious and the cranberry orange walnut muffin was outstanding. Our server was very friendly and the food came out quickly“

“Absolutely fabulous experience! We've lived about 10 miles east of the Deck Down Under for the last 5 years. And this was our first visit. Why, oh why, oh why did we wait so long! “Mystery diner: Another fun place. Beautiful inside. I love the decor. Food was good and fast. I had a burger and fries. It was good. It wasn't remarkable or memorable, it was a burger.I didn't do a 5 star on the food because it is basic food. It's good. It severed its purpose. But I wasn't wowed by flavor or anything of the sort. Typical bar food and a fun environment to enjoy it in.Staff are super friendly and happy to help. Everything was spotless and clean.Certainly better than a fast food joint. Maybe some of the other items are staples. I wasn't overly impressed with anything I saw to move me to want to try it.“

“Small coney island with a rooster theme. The place was packed the whole time we were there. It's not a place for large parties but definitely a place of local flare. Amy was our server and did a great job. She helped me make a coney dog omlet that was huge. Great time “

“You know you are home when you take that first bite of a coney dog and memories of your childhood come flooding back. I have so many memories from being a kid, to dates with my husband and now looking forward to the first visit when back in town. We both got 2 coney dogs and root beer. I had the onion rings while the hubs had fries. One thing I love about Rudy's is they do not skimp on the coney sauce and I have no shame in saying that I could just eat it with a fork. lol Their root beer is perfectly creamy and has just the right amount of "bite". I can neither confirm nor deny that we returned later in the day to get a Boston cooler (Vernor's float) and a cream beer. If you are a local or visiting the area, you must check them out. They only accept cash but have an ATM on site. Service is by car hop and they have picnic tables that you can dine at if you don't want to eat in your car. I see another trip in the future before we leave even if it's just for a brown cow or another Boston cooler. lol“

“One of the best meals I've had in quite a long time. The place is clean and taken care of well. The TouchTunes machine is amazing and has a great selection of music. But the highlight was definitely our waitress Mary. She deserves the whole world and more for her kindness and the conversation. Very easy person to talk to. Definitely recommend“

“Where to start with this little place. The hometown diner atmosphere, the smiling face when you walk in the door, the friendly service and absolutely great home cooked style meals? This little place is simply overall amazing. A very hard working Family owned diner. Once again the food is like I'd prepare for my own family (I've been a Chef for 40 yrs) and just like my table you better come with an appetite! You get all that you pay for and then some and in today's economy that's really saying something. I highly recommend stopping in this place and giving them the support they deserve if you're in their neck of the woods.BTW my wife had Southwest Hash with Cinnamon Raisin Toast and I had a full order of biscuits and gravy with a couple of over medium eggs on top. “Wonderful food. You come here for the chicken in itself, and it's why this restaurant has been here as long as I can remember. It is a pastime for my family. On the downside, you don't buy the cheesecake desert here. It was outrageously priced compared to size. The atmosphere is outdated, but the service was great.Parking: The restaurant is located on a small corner lot at a stop light, which sits on an inclined hill. There is limited parking, and there is no place for a bus.“

In a non-descript strip mall, a Dollar General and a few other stores, plenty of parking so a good place to meet up at. “Very disappointed after liking it so well. My spouse, nephew and myself, came for a quick drink meal n appetizer. Waitress came to table fairly quick and we gave her our drink order and tried ordering 3 pretzels and 3 nacho salads. She said she couldn't take our food order because she had to do drink order 1st and give him a "ticket for the order" she finally comes back to take the order we already gave her. About 10 min later she brings 1 pretzel with cheese, goes back to kitchen about 5min later brings next pretzel and did the same thing with our meal so basically we couldn't eat together. “I got a Super Big Boy burger, and it was a lot of meat. I would recommend getting the Big Boy, as it would've been easier to enjoy instead of just tasting ground beef. We got the food to go, so they weren't as good as if we had sat down. The service was pretty good, there were a lot of people working there. They did get my order wrong but I did get there right before they closed. Overall, good food, cool place and would recommend eating inside, not to go“

“Excellent rates, very amiable wait staff, delicious breakfasts, and a breathtaking outlook. We travel from AZO/Kalamazoo two or three times a month specifically for this eatery. Some days of the week they also have a Bloody Mary bar that is great. The only thing that could make this site better is the ability to hear the communication from the tower. For non-pilots, that would be awesome.“

“We always enjoy dinner at Napoleon Cafe. It’s a 45 minute drive but it gets us away from chain restaurants, fast food, pizza and bar food. Great variety. Dessert is so good. Always friendly locals. It’s so easy for my handicapped husband to get in and out. Prices are reasonable. I go for the specials. He goes for anything beef.Parking: Parking is right up to the building. No curbs for wheelchairs or walkers to encounter.“
