“Always a great experience, food is spot on bullseye, the staff is always beyond polite. I call it like I see it and Mel's brings it everytime. I have been there many times and I will be back again! Thanks Mel's! Keep up the excellent work!“

“I am having a fantastic club sandwich and fries for lunch. This is probably one of the best clubs sandwiches I've had. I know you are thinking how do you mess up a club sandwich? The layering is pretty dang perfect and fresh ingredients. Pickles are outstanding and my fries were crispy and hot. My waitress is a pleasure to have and so attentive. Prices are beyond reasonable. We are repeat customers for sure. My husband loves coming here for breakfast too.“
“*7/2024 Still the #1 spot for us in the area hands down! This is our go to spot for dinner and a few drinks. It's the closest restaurant to our home and we're glad for that. Awesome food (Big Buck Roll up and Fries are my favorite), great staff, and the ambiance is off the charts for our liking. They have lots of IPA beers to which I don't drink but in the summer they usually have some pretty solid brews on tap.“
“Never disappoints. We love the food, staff and atmosphere. Crab cakes are wonderful, some of the best you'll have. Wife's fish was light, flakey and flavorful. My filet was cooked perfect and a great flavor. Just wish they offered online reservations.“
“We had my niece's baby shower here. We received top-notch service from booking to end. The menu has a good variety, they are accommodating and the food was superb. The staff was helpful, friendly, and attentive. Holly and Ashley are the absolute best. The place was beautiful, I will be using them for future “
“If you're in the Clarkston area Pete's Coney is the best colony around! They have great fast friendly service and the food is always cooked perfectly. Order accuracy is excellent and it's easy in easy out right off of Dixie with plenty of free parking.“
“This diner is me and my father's FAVORITE place EVER. We go there almost every weekend, and the food is always delicious! The employees are always very nice and know us, and the drawings left by one of the employees that are at the register glass are lovely. The food is delicious, the building is gorgeous, the atmosphere is cozy and wonderful, the employees are kind, overall, I 100% recommend going here! I recommend the saganaki highly.“
“I have truthfully not been here in quite sometime but I have such a positive memory from the last time I ate here. The food, service, timeliness of food served, as well as atmosphere/overall vibe all amazing. Impossible to forget there mac n cheese. Will be going here soon and updating accordingly with pics!Dietary restrictions: They will accommodateParking: Lots of options“
“I've been coming here since I was a kid and they're still one of the best places for a good lobster bisque and filet mignon. The service is usually pretty good and I always enjoyed getting to sit by the tennis courts to watch people play if/when they're there. Make sure you look up the hours and days they make the bisque otherwise you won't get it. Special days only but definitely worth it. I'd be sad if the restaurant closed because it's nice for a special occasion.“
“Seems like we always make our way to Clarkston and the Union every trip to Detroit even though it's gotta be 30/40 minutes out of the city.We flew into Detroit for a family visit last week and went to The Union on our way to family house. The food is always lights out and that day was no different! Chicken noodle soup was outrageous. Of course we got the famous Mac n Cheese, two orders actually as one was for us and. The other to take along to the house and share. The surprise winner though was the homemade meatloaf! Maybe the best I've ever had, top 2 at the very least. Thanks for the great meal and see y'all next time.“
“I wish we lived closer. Every time I'm in town, I like to stop here for the frozen pasties. They have a lot of variety, including warm, refrigerated or frozen meat, vegetarian, and gluten free pasties.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pasties are offered.Kid-friendliness: This place would be fine for kids.Parking: Parking is free, easy access, and close.Dietary restrictions: They offer a variety of pasties filled with many exotic meats as well as chicken, turkey, and beef. They also offer vegetarian and gluten free pasties.“
“There was about 15 of us that went to Art and Jakes in Clarkston on Sunday for a Detroit Lions game. We arrived a few hours early knowing there would be many people coming for the game and got a great spot in the bar area. Our waitress, Kendall, was nothing short of outstanding. The place got absolutely packed for the game, and we had different groups joining our table throughout the day, and this girl never got rattled or lost the friendly smile on her face. If we needed an extra chair or two, management was on it. From someone who spent 16 years in the restaurant industry, I know when people just get it right and they do. The food is great too, but the service is what I call "winning at the margins". It was such a fun atmosphere and a great time. My group had many compliments about the team.If your in the area or looking for a stop on your way to Pine Knob or to watch sports, I highly recomment you stop in.“
“The Fed is a very beautiful restaurant with amazing food. Myself and five friends went to the Fed on a weekend for brunch. we shared the begniets as a starter and they were delishes. I had the short rib hash and it was very good with great flavor but a big piece the size of a small apple of meat and fat was in my dish. It was inedible and the chef informed me that is how short ribs cook. Two others in my party had the same dish but without this problem. I also was a little upset with the $10.00 a person deposit collected at the time of the reservation and put toward our bill at the time of service. The $2.25 non refundable service fee for charging this deposit was an insult. The restaurant was never without empty tables while we were there, the food was amazing and I might say worth the splurge but these required deposits and service fees will be part of my decision to eat there again.“
“Our server was great, the chicken sandwich was really good. The fries and Bermuda blossom were good. You can play trivia as a group on the TVs with your phone. There is also a small area with arcade games. The food prices are pretty fair for the portion size. The specials menu is good if you don’t want the typical bar fare.Kid-friendliness: There are arcade games“
“By far the best Leo's I have been to not sure but this one is better,we ate here for a month while working a job the waitstaff were all great, they had specials which I never see at Leo's, even some old guys a few times playing live music,“
“We celebrated a 60th wedding anniversary tonight and starting with Tyler taking a reservation was SO nice and helpful. Then to get there and our waitress Nichole was absolutely 10/10! She handled everything and was so attentive. The food was great but the service, was top notch! Thank you!“
“The last 3 orders at Culvers drive thru, each time other cars behind me have received their food and I had to go in and request my order. The last order on 2/7/24 waited 25 minutes Twice the manager stated the charges for food would be reversed on my card due to the long wait but it never happens. Very poor service from Culvers employees and manager.“
“Loved the food! The service was pretty good. We were a party of 15, and we were brought the check on one bill. Never asked how we wanted the check and when we asked if they could split it, they said no, sorry. It’s on one bill. Then, when someone only had a card and no cash to add to the bill total, they happily took off her part of the bill and redid the total. So if you’re a large group, just make sure you clarify how they’re doing the bill before hand. Temperature is also inconsistent with hot to cold shifts, so bring a jacket. Great food though at a great cost!!!“
“Mel’s grill 2 is a great place for breakfast/lunch. You can never go wrong at either location. The waitress staff and cooks are awesome and pleasant. Their menu has a lot of good food choices to choose from and everything is awesome. The patrons that stop in are regulars, a lot of great conversations and friendship are created.Thank you ladies and cooks for the great service.“
