“There was about 15 of us that went to Art and Jakes in Clarkston on Sunday for a Detroit Lions game. We arrived a few hours early knowing there would be many people coming for the game and got a great spot in the bar area. Our waitress, Kendall, was nothing short of outstanding. The place got absolutely packed for the game, and we had different groups joining our table throughout the day, and this girl never got rattled or lost the friendly smile on her face. If we needed an extra chair or two, management was on it. From someone who spent 16 years in the restaurant industry, I know when people just get it right and they do. The food is great too, but the service is what I call "winning at the margins". It was such a fun atmosphere and a great time. My group had many compliments about the team.If your in the area or looking for a stop on your way to Pine Knob or to watch sports, I highly recomment you stop in.“

“This is a regularly visited diner. Our usual meal is to split a Maurice salad with and without a provided loaf of bread. We have enjoyed every meal we have ever ordered. The wait staff and owner are always prompt, courteous and engaging. Other favorites are the barbecued beef tips, and the fish and chips. I believe they provide good value with the quality of food and service they deliver.“

“Had the most delicious meal here tonight!! I highly recommend the bbq pulled pork quesadillas they were absolutely delicious and can easily feed 2 people. The service was outstanding and such a friendly atmosphere. “Burger was honestly pretty good, I did not have high expectations, and it was pretty darn good. Staff is really approachable and friendly. Live music the night I went, and they were really great! Other patrons really seemed to enjoy the music as well.The only reasons I didn't give five stars all around was that it was weird sitting at a table right next to the men's bathroom and trying to eat, and the chairs are in a need of a change. Spring was coming out of one that would hit the floor. These still wouldn't stop me from coming back, but I would pick another table in the future.“

“Loved the panko shrimp and fries, even if the shrimp comes out of a Sam's club or Costco box! Waiter wasn't sure, my friend was. Don't care! Now I know why some people make such a fuss over panko. I'm not one who usually likes any fried breading but this was delish! And not overpriced! Fries good too, not bland. We ate outside, much nicer than inside.“
“I would 10/10 recommend this place. Our wait staff was super friendly and got us whatever we needed. We even had 2 separate people waiting on us. The ambiance is cool with all the signs and designed tiles on the ceiling. If you're looking for some good bar food this is the place.“

“First time here as a non golfer. Came for a work event. The facility was nice. Was a pretty cool place. The only reason for 4 stars on service was because i had to look for our server when i needed a drink, and i might be extra critical on customer service. I personally think the server could have checked on us more often. Would recommend, was a fun atmosphere. The food was fantastic.“
“Excellent bar and grille. Not a lot of variety on their menu mostly sandwiches/burgers/pizza but they do it very well. Great place to stop for a quick lunch or a quick/affordable dinner. For the liquor drinkers out there they also pour very generously especially for shots.Kid-friendliness: They have a few video games and darts and pool tables plus lots of room for them to move around. Don't let them get the hotdog unless you are sure it's a very huge hotdog“

“*7/2024 Still the #1 spot for us in the area hands down!This is our go to spot for dinner and a few drinks. It's the closest restaurant to our home and we're glad for that. Awesome food (Big Buck Roll up and Fries are my favorite), great staff, and the ambiance is off the charts for our liking.They have lots of IPA beers to which I don't drink but in the summer they usually have some pretty solid brews on tap.“
