We just had my daughter’s birthday party over there and had the pleasure to have Sam as a waiter. I have never in my life had better service than I did with Sam, what an absolute gem! I could have sworn I got a real burger when I ordered the impossible once... or sometimes its not available, but I'm not a strict enough to care, just prefer the option.“

“My super significant other loves apple bees. She has a nostalgic filter that often brings it up for a dinner pick. Although for a tried and true representation of that child like family fun or the aforementioned nostalgia; The Auburn hills branch represents it the best! Compliments to the whole staff, kitchen and floor staff included. Everyone was very friendly and complimentary to our outfits as we were coming in and leaving. Waiters and waitresses alike, that weren't even ours seem to appreciate us as well! “This is a bar and grill with great atmosphere and even better food. It gives off dive bar vibes and obviously has its regulars. The food though I have been twice with groups of 4 all getting different items and everyone raves about their choice. The steak tips are perfect with the honeymustard and the bowl of chili has just the right spice. Definitely coming back.“

“There was about 15 of us that went to Art and Jakes in Clarkston on Sunday for a Detroit Lions game. We arrived a few hours early knowing there would be many people coming for the game and got a great spot in the bar area. Our waitress, Kendall, was nothing short of outstanding. The place got absolutely packed for the game, and we had different groups joining our table throughout the day, and this girl never got rattled or lost the friendly smile on her face. If we needed an extra chair or two, management was on it. From someone who spent 16 years in the restaurant industry, I know when people just get it right and they do. The food is great too, but the service is what I call "winning at the margins". It was such a fun atmosphere and a great time. My group had many compliments about the team.If your in the area or looking for a stop on your way to Pine Knob or to watch sports, I highly recomment you stop in.“

Re: Rochester, I had some extraordinary chicken fajitas, pizza's is decent, pastas is okay, but more importantly, it's a rare place in Oakland county where you can have a variety of dishes and they're all pretty much down the pipe. The service was extremely friendly and all over any requests I had. The food and drinks were great and the restaurant just appeared to run like a well-oiled machine. Most restaurants are short staffed on major holidays, whereas Grand Tavern appeared to have it all figured out ahead of time.I had visited a couple times to watch NCAA tournament games and I've noticed that things here have really improved over the last couple months. Food orders come out quicker than ever and the staff is very attentive. The owners hired a new manager called Netty a couple months ago that I've met and had some friendly banter with, and she is absolutely brilliant at what she does. There was only one server for the entire place and boy did she ever nail it! This girl was running from table to table and she was amazing. “I was pretty satisfied with this restaurant. We had a little bit of wait, but the server came right over to see if we wanted drinks. There were tvs all over so it kept us entertained while we waited. Pretty nice bar area and decent amount of tables throughout restaurant. The menu had a lot of variety - entrees, sandwiches, pizza, plate of nachos, etc. I always appreciate a good list of beer options also! I ate the marinated chicken quesadillas. Yum!
